Input Lag (offline, well online too)

Sat Oct 11, 2014 10:58 pm

Why does this feel so delayed and unresponsive? You can't chain moves at all and the players feel like their sliding, its not realistic at all. Got this for ps4 and PC, very frustrated, bout to go back to 2k14 pc. Any suggestions, been playing with game speed and some of the user slider settings

I'm thinking you've set your max pre-rendered frames to either 3 or 4?

ummm, how would I check that? Would that be in my catalyst settings or the video config file?

Edit: buffercount in videosettings.cfg? Should I lower the number?

Try using 1 as the value.

Idk man I just played it on PS4 and I feel that same lag.. Especially on defense and when jumping for rebounds.. I think there is literally a 1 second difference between me pressing the jump button and the player actually jumping.. It isn't unplayable but is quite annoying when you have the skill to get in position but you still don't get a rebound cause your player jumps late..

Used the 1 value, def made a difference. Lag is nowhere near as bad as before, also put the gamespeed to 54 and quickness to 64. Feels a bit more responsive now, wish I could do this on the ps4 lol

You guys talking about what 2K is most known for right ?? the players being unresponsive to controls..... they well known for that, all of their players feel bulky and cumbersome ESPECIALLY when moving them from a dead stop, and when trying to jump up for rebounds, you just dont ever feel like you have full control of their bodies like you do in say a Fifa game where they feel light and crisp.

Now granted most football (soccer) players are under 6 feet and around 160-180 pounds they should feel lighter, but the way 2K has their game engine set up heavily reliant on animations instead of real physics, there is barely any noticeable difference between a short fast guard and a big slow big man in the way they respond to controls and how they move.

It's unfortunate and in my opinion the only hurdle 2K yet has to get over to truly be a perfect game

^agreed, it's crazy that 2k14 (pc/360/ps3) feels much more responsive, its a shame too bc thats the only flaw I see right now with this game. Im loving everything else

this is why i took mine back, controlling anyone on offense or defense, they move terrible, in 2k14 atleast they moved pretty smoothly, this feels like controlling a player in water. No matter what sliders or ajustments made, it cant be fixed, because this is how 2k designed it this year.
