Well, obviously PC won' be getting this feature. I don't even have ordinary webcam, let alone something like kinect.

Kinect, unlike your average webcam (and the stuff PS4 is using most probably too) is also IR based (we used Kinects for motion-cap in one project to track users' movement and to recognise gestures).
IR is way for them to measure the actual shape of your head and compensate for uneven depth of "photos" of your face.

And it would probably require 3rd party software to wrap around the kinect raw data output and to connect it to game's input.

I doubt it's coming to PC, but just so we're clear, it does not say only for XBone and PS4. I don't know where you see that.

Look, PC just doesn't have widespread IR depth and imaging solution.
Kinect scans your face (in this case) with IR tech. Kinect 2 is even way more precise. Sony Camera is basically just 2 cameras in a box, which allows it to measure depth too (to some extent).
Now you average webcam you might have is just a camera, sometimes with very simple IR depth measuring solution for autofocus.
Face scanning depends heavily on depth scanning.

Now since MS made Kinect for X1 incompatible with PC and released "Kinect for Windows v2" instead, supporting that in the SDK and pricing it $200, you can only guess how many people bought it and are planing on gaming with it.

To be honest people i don't know why someone could get butthurt over something like this feature, when we for the first time will have pretty much the same game as it is on the console,like i don't even have a pc at the moment, that can run this game lol.

I understand some minor level of disappointment, but as was previously discussed, if you were expecting this on PC right now, you were setting yourself up for disappointment.

Not really need, there are alternatives to put our custom face in PC version probably like previous yrs. But may have been easier due to not everyone having cf skills. So i really dont care about this. More excited were getting the ecomotion system.

There's 'Sculpting' feature for PC gamers(and consoles) as an alternative for face scan.

Learn how to 3D model and create textures, or just simply scan your face with cam? The time for me to consider buying a ps4 or xbox1 is here. It depends if we can upload photos and not just scan your face. That way we can use high res images of high school and college prospects for draft classes. Also i guess there's no way to upload your tattoos either.

it depends on if this feature is exclusivly for MyPlayer or if you can add a Scanned Face to any Created Player

Just got confirmation on twitter ronnie2k this is only for Xbox One and PS4 as it uses the hardware (PS EYE and Kinect). Again for PC gaimers cut version of nba 2k15
