What Would Your NBA 2K15 Soundtrack look like?

Fri Aug 22, 2014 3:10 am

Yeah, this is kind of crazy to just ask about 27 songs like it's nothing, but I thought it would at least be good discussion and show the kind of music we all listen to!
I curated my list last night... aka I curated my 2k13 and 2k14 playlists a long time ago, and just nailed it down to 27 songs last night.

Yasiin Bey - History (DJ Preservation Remix feat. Talib Kweli)

Soundtrack is a crap. 2-3 normal songs and that's all. Pharrell doesn't have music taste (N)

Guess it's a good idea :) I'm gonna try :)
Note that those songs aren't my favorites ones. But I pick songs I love of course, with differents styles of music :)
Music taste depends on everybody, you may not like it :)

Eminem ft. Nate Dogg - Till I Collapse
Hoodie Allen - Show Me What You're Made Of (or if he drops a better one in his next album)
Gorillaz - 19-2000 (Soulchild Remix)
Lupe Fiasco - Superstar
MGK ft. Ester Dean - Invincible
Public Enemy - Harder Than You Think
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Dani California
Linkin Park - Breaking the Habit
A remix of "I Need Dollar" from Aloe Blacc that I can't find on youtube, maybe they removed it..
Coldplay - Paradise
Courrier - Right as Rain
Cris Cab - Paradise (on Earth) Even if I've removed it from 2K14
Dr.Dre ft. Eminem & 50 Cent - Crack a Bottle
Imagine Dragons - Monster
One Republic - Counting Stars
OCD: Moosh & Twist ft. Hoodie Allen - All that I Know
Maroon 5 - This Love
Major Lazer - Reach for the Stars
Oasis - Some Might Say
Kurtis Blow - Basketball
Plan B - Love Goes Down (Doctor P Remix)
Uppermost - Born Limitless
Sean Paul ft. Keri Hilson - Hold My Hand
Sean Paul - Never Gonna Be The Same
Eminem - The Way I Am
Evermore - I'm Falling Away
Finger Eleven - Living In a Dream

It took the mods an incredibly long amount of time to figure out how the music worked. I wouldn't bet on changing out the soundtrack being so easy with a completely different engine.
I'd actually rather bet that every tool used for modding thus far may not work at all.

Maybe the music file won't change.. But anyway it still for the menus only. We still get that crappy soundtrack in game...

I can't believe there hasn't been a B.O.N.E. Thugs-N-Harmony song in a 2K game before. Bone would sound good in any NBA game.

Also pretty much anything from Linking Park.

Stylo - Gorillaz <-------Great menu song.

The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army

And finally any song Pharrell doesn't like.

It would also be cool if Visual Concepts used mp3's so we could just swap out any song we wanted without using an editor and a program like audacity and have to worry about the songs length.
