Any news about NBA 2K15 for PC?

Talk about NBA 2K15 here.

It's not so much that PCs have less powerful hardware; the concern is whether or not a large enough userbase actually has powerful enough hardware. Considering that we still see a fair amount of people wanting to run NBA 2K PC on rigs that don't (or barely) meet the current requirements, I'd say that's a legitimate concern. There's also the hurdle of compatibility with all the different hardware out there, which naturally isn't a problem when it comes to developing for the consoles.

There are plenty of people with good enough gaming PCs, but the question is, how many of them are basketball gamers? Basketball gaming is a niche demographic to begin with, and PC basketball gamers are an even smaller niche market within that. That's always going to be the biggest issue when it comes to the prospect of PC releases.

Naturally, I hope that we continue to get a PC release, and I'd love to see both games released on the PC. But it is an uphill battle, which is one of the reasons why we have a strict "no piracy" policy here at the NLSC. The last thing we want to do is discourage either company from developing for the PC platform.

I dont understand politic of 2k. It will be much easier for us, basketball fans and gamers overall to get information from 2k about 2k15 for pc. In many cases knowledge about current or nextgen for pc lead many of us to buy console and ps4 copy of 2k15 and for sure still many pc users still buy current one. In both situation 2k will earn money. So cmon 2k you already know what it will be, just say the magic word.

Well, E3 and the preview "season" for the NBA games and other Q4 releases is right around the corner, so it's not like we're going to be kept entirely in the dark until October.

skoadam has a point though. It's very likely that a decision has already been made whether or not 2K15 for PC will be a next gen port. I don't understand why 2K has to be so secretive about it UNLESS it's going to be a next gen port.

They're being secretive about everything right now, though. Come June, that's when the details start coming.

No, not going to be this year, not until maybe FIFA 2020.
FIFA is going to be another Xbox 360/PS3 port. EA's excuse for this is that the average PC user doesn't have a high enough PC to handle the new Ignite Engine.
http://www.pcgamer.com/uk/2013/06/18/fifas-ignite-engine-wont-come-to-pc-until-average-hardware-specs-are-higher/
Because as you know EA recycled FIFA PS2 version from 04-10 for 6 years in a row before giving us a next-gen engine in FIFA 11 PC which was still not a direct port, was more of a hybrid. FIFA 12 is when we had a 100% direct PC port of the next-gen version.

And now we are in the same vicious cycle since the release of the PS4/Xbox One Consoles... And by the time we get a next-gen port, PS5/Xbox Two will come out lol & the same cycle will repeat once again.

That's a crap excuse then considering the PC is basically Battlefield 4's lead platform.

Such bullshit was with Star Wars force unleashed, when the developers said that the PCs not enough powerfull to run this game. Finally, when it was released on the PC turned out that nothing special in game graphics, technology etc. Simple marketing - nothing more

I'm skeptical. I wouldn't think he would post like that, but you never know. Revealing all that info is a bit unprofessional.

Doesn't the pre-order stuff say that 2k15 is being released on PS360?

Although, He could be saying that the features he's talking about won't be on the PS360 version of the game.

Official release dates show the game being released on 360 and PS3 as well as the current consoles and Window PC. I'm calling Bullswag on this one.

that post is fake for 2 reasons, reason number 1 is..i couldn't possibly imagine ronnie2k speaking slangish..but more important reason number 2 is they can't cut off last gen like that, I remember back in the day when PS3 and X360 launched they were still making years after games for ps2 (last gen back then) so it doesn't make any sense to cut off last gen as soon as new generation is launched

That is fake, that is beyond doubt. But the new video has PC and VC, MyTeam, etc, in the same sentence.
Kevin Durant talks about the KD MVP Bonus Pack, which is available when you pre-order NBA 2K15 for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

This includes:
- 5,000 Virtual Currency
- Kevin Durant Throwback MyTEAM Card
- Two MyTEAM Card Packs
- MyPLAYER Leg Sleeves, Inspired By Kevin Durant

Just look at the recommended system requirements - the usual average gaming PC, not a top. Again have dissolved with their "a powerful" engine  Marketing - nothing more.

That's a first, they usually separate PC out. If the retail sites list it when they update for the preorder bonus, then I'm going to get very interested
