PSA: Important Roster Update Coming 10/10 1AM Pacific

Yeah someone give us a link that we can download offline the roster update!

ok, and how about update which allows me to actually PLAY the game? as i recalled , this is not only my issue..

i tried again, i can't download the roster ufficial.
it tells to me that is broken and i can't download it. why? some suggestions?

:?: Leftos, you seem like a nice guy. Obviously Pdbub and I do not understand from your OP or your latest post whether this roster fix has anything to do with the MyPlayer/MyCareer mode. It sounds like it may only effect rosters for other modes? Will the generated rookies in the MYPlayer/MyCareer using the original roster be defective somehow?

MyPlayer/MyCareer uses rosters, it creates generated players after one season, it is a game mode...so yes it was affected.

Any rosters, draft classes and gamemode saves started using the official update scheduled for release tonight should have both of those fixes. Unfortunately, we can't fix existing rosters, draft classes and saves retroactively.

Answer's in the OP. Roster update fixes require a new save with that roster, they can't be applied retroactively.

I did quote the MyCAREER question and specifically said you'd need a new save to get the fixes.

I understand it's a pain in the ass to have to start a new save to get a fix. If there was a way to do that and get the fix out that fast, I would've done that instead. I'll investigate whether we can fix current saves in a patch, but that might be some time away still. Again, my apologies. It sucks that something like this slipped through the cracks, and it bothers me more than it does any of you, having spent a whole year working on this iteration of the game.

That said, you could make your point without the ironic/sarcastic tone.

Arrrrrrgh! I love you, Leftos, for all the passion and hard work you've put into my favorite game. Just own up, though: You never just said, "Yes, the roster issue will create a problem in MyCareer games started on Day 1." Instead, you keep quoting your OP, which did talks more about issues that might affect franchise modes or people who like to create their own draft classes.

There is really only sincerity in my posts, no irony or sarcasm. In my opinion, it would have been nicer to just re-answer my question for clarification's sake rather than to try to prove that you had all along. I truly believe you are awesome and appreciate all you do more than you could know.

It's already been released! Well, unless you're like me and many others and can't connect to the 2K servers and not receiving any form of help from 2K.

I think the majority doesn't have any issues with downloading the roster. But some of us can't even connect (like myself) and others can connect but are unable to download the roster.

I can't download the roster still corrupted for me so I'm in the same boat.

Well, in a way they have made it available for download. The majority can download the roster just fine from within the game. Posting the roster update on the web would make it pretty easy for "the pirates" which is why I think 2K isn't posting it themselves. I just hope that the problems for us will be fixed soon, or that someone will be nice enough to upload the roster update so I can finally start playing instead of debating if I should just get a refund.

Well, I am still awaiting a response from 2K and it's been almost two days now since I raised the issue with them. I'm hopeful that someone will just upload the roster somewhere soon, although I am surprised that no one has done that yet.

exactly, im still waiting for a response as well. not having the roster update available for update is totally understandable if they have the system to get the update working smoothly...

Of course I understand! I myself am one of those people who is unable to download the roster. I can't even connect to the 2K servers, so it's not worth playing the game. I'm just saying that I understand why 2K isn't uploading the roster to the internet.

I totally get that. but until they get all the kinks out, what harm will it do to make the roster available to download? i would think disappointing paying customers would be on top of their not-to-do list

That would be greatly appreciated! I may not be able to connect at all, but an offline MyCareer with the updated roster will hold me over until the connection issue is sorted out. It would be a lot less frustrating if 2K could take the time to simply answer my support ticket, but it seems like they can't even be bothered to do that.

Here guys.. Sorry it took so long I had a hard time figuring out if this roster was actually the right one.. It showed up as Roster002 instead of what I named it.. I hope you guys have good luck with this and this is the first thing I did before playing a game so you all should feel special..
