Great wall psu. 600 watts, with 2 6+2 pins. Will also be upgarding soon. But as of the moment i think my psu is all good. Im still worried with my q660. My mobo is lock for oc, i've tried several times. So im still locked at 2.4ghz. Hope i can max it out!

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2430M CPU @ 2.40GHz

Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit

Can I run NBA2k15?

skoadam wrote:Yes u can run, but with very low quality and probably with fps drops, believe me no sense to do it.

Do you think I can run NBA2k15 if i.e. Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag runs smoothly on my laptop? Is it worth a try? Cause I don't wanna buy the game in first place and then regret it buying the game. I read nearly every post regarding the problems most of the guys have with the game. It's a hard decision to make for a nba2k fan these days who cannot afford an upgrade of his system or buying a current-gen console.

Gametime and cutscenes! Both after patch and post patch. 50 to 60 fps. Maybe my q660 or maybe 4gb ram bottleneck my gtx 770. Need to upgrade soon!

2k should have had made a demo or trial version for pc, making sure the people's operating sytem could actually handle the whole game :(

Right now im out of ideas. Can u please try to set texture quality to medium? all other sets on maximum. Please let me know, im still searching.

fj2305, but its against them, its always better to reach maximum level of hype, preorders etc. Here you go, pics from my medium rig. Those sets works with 60fps

Go with the 750.

Antec has been around for a long time. Have used their PSU's but not their cases. Decent company.

This game is one big optimalization mistake, 2k know it right?
Last days ive changed my i5 dual core to i7 quad core. Guess what? Nothing. Not even +1 fps. My last step will be change of 570M into 770M, there will be big LOL if i still get fps around 34. This sucks 2k, really sucks. Next time spend some time on optimalization and beta testing. (N)

Gaming on laptops is one big costly mistake.

unless you play something like openttd on your laptop

Dommy73, coslty? i dont know i paid 80$ for i7 quad? costly? hmm. I sold my i5 for 45$. So i buy i7 for 35$ LOL. Keep repeat this bs about non gaming laptops. I play every 2014 game without drops, stuttering on my non gaming laptop, uppss sry nba 2k15 is one exception.

Laptop parts are always developed with temperature and power efficiency in mind, they're not known for superior performance. So yeah, comparing to your average desktop it's costly. And that's why my laptop runs utopic and is used for work/uni only.
And I have seen many laptops basically destroyed by their owners just by playing games. Because gaming cooks northbridges in laptops alive.
Oh and in this particular situation, I would say that paying $35 and gaining nothing is pretty costly. Like $35 costly.

Re: Post your PC specs here - Reference in first post

Wed Nov 05, 2014 4:48 pm

Oh yeah from that point of view i can say its costly because of poor 2k optimalization lol.

My specs:
Intel core i3-3240 3.4ghz
Radeon 7850 1gb
8 GB ram
windows 8.1 pro
1920:1200 resolution (black bordered 16:9 needed to keep aspect ratio :( )

Video settings: textures and crowd on medium, msaa 4x, rest high/on.

Game offline is silky smooth, both visually and input wise, except some cutsecenes its rock solid 60fps.
Tried 2 games online too at MyTeam, visually it looked all smooth but there were some input delay and was a bit harder to shoot and pull of moves, although still pretty playable.

feel free to add me on steam for a random online game or chat (I'm from EU so beware of timezone difference): http://steamcommunity.com/id/Taddis/
