xKrNMBoYx wrote:@djherokiller - Yes the System Requirements need to be more specifics. A 7750 with 2GB would get killed by a 7850 with 1GB of VRAM. The video card needs to be good in general and not in one specification. For now your PC matches the requirements and even without them you will be able to play the game. But as I said expecting 60FPS on any setting because your PC met the "Minimum Requirements" is a stretch.
Don't worry much about your CPU for now. At 3.XXGHz there shouldn't be that many Core 2 Duos that are faster at stock settings. You can always overclock it a little or a lot, then there is the Phenom II X4 CPU you have access too. What you need to do is upgrade to a 64-Bit version of Windows if you're running a 32-bit version.
i am already running at a 64 bit version but i did my research on alot of sites and people say the intel core2 duo e8500 is better then the phenom II x4 b25 in everything except for multi core programs but thats only by very little in performance ill buy nba 2k15 in a couple of days and once i get the game ill do some testing if i can play nba 2k15 fine on the settings that i like ill not consider doing the upgrade but if i have to i have a back up processor

@djherokiller - Exactly that is the smartest way to do things. Get the game as it's 100% sure you can at least play the game now. Test it on your normal PC and see how it runs. If it does run well no need to try the backup CPU/Motherboard, if not then try the back up. You could honestly try the backup even if the Core 2 Duo was good because if 2K15 utilizes more than 2-cores well the Phenom may get you better/smoother gameplay. For newer games from now on the Core 2 Duo and Phenom II X4 B25 will be close but as time passes and newer games come out the Phenom II X4 will probably perform better than the Core 2 Duo. No matter what Benchmarks, or people say the most accurate testing can only be done by you. Test both hardware when you get a chance for the best gameplay you can play.

i7 What? Details?
Just any Directx 11 card?
Game requirements are never really specific like that (and really don't need to be).
That's wrong.
Yes they are and yes they definitely do.

So, as we already got requirements for the game, I think this speculations thread should be closed...
/offer lock.

maybe instead of closing maybe either rename or make a new one of where people can talk about the requirements and also ask other people if they think they can play cause alot of people were asking and alot of the answers were can answer until the requirements were released plus all the answer for me were either hell no, maybe, upgrade, or wait for the requirements and the people that said hell no get down son LOL but the rest of the answers i agree with now except for upgrade i dont think i need to upgrade i just want to play in low - medium settings buut i think we should make a new thread of where people can ask if they can play if they dont know

requirements "smeared out", so I think it is too early to close

That will be up to the mods/administrators. For now I will change the title to something like 2K15 Requirement Discussion or something like that.

hahahahahahahaha

Guys, i think it´s not oficial....it´s just a steam (High and secure specs) for games.....generic.... all oficial specs have Processor model WITH CLOCK and GPU Specs....
Not exists specs with: DX11 GPU. HD 5770 its a GPU with DX11.... R9 290X is too.... but......... lol

The difference between the two DirectX requirements is that one is for the GPU and the other is for the OS. Windows 7 and later has DirectX 11 while Vista has DirectX 10 but it can be updated to 11. If you don't have a DirectX 11 GPU then Windows will handle the backwards compatibility and disable or downgrade the graphic features that require 11.
Someone with more knowledge on this please correct me if I'm wrong.
And for i7 or better, it's the norm, if Intel or any other release new parts developers are not going to update all the released requirements. They just put "or better" even if currently there isn't one so they're covered for when there is one.

Now call me crazy again for saying dual core and 2gb for the minimum.. hehehe.

how did you know?
NO Game wich looks decent had less than 4gb for over a year now

I think Lagoa is right. They just posted the two extremes. The real requirements are going to be somewhere in between. Not to mention the first i7 that came out like 6 years ago doesn't compare to the i7-4960X.

Dude.
Minimum is going to look like SHIT.
Once again 2K11 and 2K14 next gen are NOT COMPARABLE.
Also it seems these are placeholder specs.
Wait until the more specific specs come out.

Minimum will not have moving jerseys and probably that stadium feel atmosphere but it wont look like shit. It will still look good.A lot of you are expecting that since its a next gen port that it will require very strong or high PC rigs. It wont. And again having played both games and with a modded 2k11 on pc. It is very comparable more than you can imagine.

I have 16gb of RAM, a Core i7 3770k processor, and a GTX 680, so I should be golden for max settings. I can hope, anyway.

Since we have two threads going, and this one was originally for speculating, I'll go ahead and look this one to avoid having the same discussion taking place in two different topics. Feel free to keep the discussion going here:
