I am upgrading my old VC from HD 7770.
I am just wondering if having PhysX or not will drastically affect game performance.
I am planning to buy either an R9 280X or GTX 770 (though I am more inclined to the AMD card because of $$$)

In short, is it advantageous if I opt for the nVidia card which aside from the PhysX feature, has no large advantage to the AMD card?

To my knowledge NBA 2K15 doesn't use PhysX. Not many games do.

Finally, someone answered me. Thanks for the answer. I just thought maybe it will use PhysX for clothes, net or whatever. But seriously, thanks. I am now sure that I will pick up the R9 280X

no offense guys

but why do some here keep asking if it runs on Max?
we cant tell just by the requierements
we can tell you if it runs at all and if you can run it better than on minimum
but what exactly is needed for it to run on YOUR PC on wich details, no one can tell for sure
there are too many variables... and the Requierements are too vauge to make precice statements

we dont know what CPU and GPU exactly you need for what settings

for that we would need more detailed requierements

Thanks to those who responed on my gamepad question.

I don't really have to buy cheap model - I can put more money into it if it's gonna pay off. I bought the cheap one to try it, because it looked good enough to me, but if (for example) X1 controller is just superior I don't have problem with spending more for quality product.
If the stick position is just a matter of habit? I might as well go for the X1 controller.

If you are looking for a gamepad, I think the Logitech F710 is a great choice. I read several reviews and watched some videos of it. And all are of favorable nature. That is what I am going to buy because it is wireless. SAY NO TO FRAYED WIRES.

You could just use a Dualshock 4 controller. There are tools that will let your computer read it as if it was a 360 controller.
Plus having a touchpad on your controller is an absolute joy for PC Gamers, especially those who put their PCs in the living room.

I think there's no chance to play it with integrapted graphics card. You sure there's no other GPU? What's your computer model? Or it was built by someone?

Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000

Nooope! Laptops in general are very bad if you want to play serious Games. If you don't have a Desktop-PC a PS4 would probably be a better solution.

Is that a laptop or a desktop? IMO, You will probably be able to play on at least low, maybe medium with your current rig.
