Re: 2K15 PC Specifications Speculations

i think the dual core could be a posibble chance of being in the minimum requirements but if it is not the minimum is gonna be a quad core and i havve a backup mother board with my brothers cpu for that and i also have backyp 4 gb of additional ram im not buying 2k15 until i see the sys req so i can make sure hopefully 2k has a demo for pc users just like the one in gamescom like the one quarter. and when will the system requirements be released

Sorry mate, but dual-core is recommended for PC 2K14. You're most probably running on an 32-bit system and I wouldn't be surprised if those RAM were DDR2.

If you want to play new games on decent quality settings at decent resolution you should get new PC.

What are good CPU's and GPU's? Budget wise? It's okay if I get low resolutions.. I ain't really a gamer...

something like the AMD FX Series FX-4130 would be more than enough for you and at least where i live its only 80€ but you would have to check if it fits with your mainboard

So...here we go!

Pentium E2220 Dual Core @ 2.40GHz (could be upgraded to an i5-650)
2 GB RAM (could be upgraded to 4 GB) DDR2
GeForce 8600 GT(512 MB)
Is there ANY chance I could play this game with what I have now?

sry but nope

CPU is propably too weak and RAM and GPU are definitely way to weak

so yeah you should upgrade CPU and RAM asap

and sadly your GPU is too old as well

you will need a Card that supports Directx 11

i would advise you to wait a few days because the official requirements are coming out soon.. so then you can see what you really need and upgrade acordingly!

According to GameDebate,you couldn't even play on the minimum settings.That is very bad,and your hardware needs a major upgrade.

Re: 2K15 PC Specifications Speculations

@LendoChaar - You should be fine. In all technicality your build would be the closes to what a PS4 would be. It won't mean it will run the same way but it should work fine.

@carlo1254 - Although your Dual-Core i5 is 1.6GHz at stock it should boost up to ~3GHz (maybe more) if your PC feels it needs more juice. Your GPU is okay too (a slightly higher clocked 650M). 2GB won't be enough though for gaming. I have had a few netbooks, laptops, and desktops installed with 2GB. It's okay for every day use but nothing intensive. Upgrading or increasing your ram isn't that hard. It's one of the things that manufacturers allow users to change in a laptop. If you give me the model number of your laptop I can tell you if it's easy to replace or not. My guess is that you could run on minimum with okay FPS. Not sure until I test it out on my laptop when the game comes out.

@tsiakalos13 - If you were to upgrade your CPU to a i5-560 or a i7-920/30/50/60/70 etc your CPU will probably be good. 2GB will not be enough so you'll have to upgrade at least to 4GB. After further checking a Pentium E2220 is a LGA 775 CPU. A i5-560 should be a LGA 1156 if I remember correctly. To upgrade your CPU to an i5 you will need to get a new motherboard and ram too. The GPU is also too old and weak to today's standards.

@GloryD - Do you even have to ask haha. You should be good unless 2K15 ends up badly optimized

@djherokiller - Didn't someone else and you yourself check your PC Rig at Gamedebate already? I'm pretty sure you saw the "guessed" requirements on game-debates too. I'll tell you this time.

Game Debate's Minimum Requirements for 2K15
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 or Phenom 9750
GPU: GTX 650 or AMD 5770

Game Debate's Adjusted Requirements for 2K15
CPU: Intel Core i3 2100 or Phenom II X4 925
GPU: GTX 460 SE or R7 250X

Game Debate's Predicted/Recommended Requirements for 2K15
CPU: Intel Core i5 2550K or Intel FX 6300
GPU: GTX 460 or AMD 6870

Your first CPU E8500 does not really match the Game Debate's Minimum Requirements. It's weaker than the Q6600 yet it is similar with the Phenom 9750 as it wins and loses some battles with games. Your Phenom II X3 Unlocked to Phenom II X4 is very similar to the Phenom II X4 925 so your Phenom matches the Game Debate Adjusted Requirements (which is probably Game Debates guess on what CPU you will need to play the game). If I were to look at Game Debate's numbers you should use the Phenom II X4 CPU your brother has as a spare and then save to upgrade your GPU to a 7750 or a GTX 750. That is your only choice unless you can run the game on DX 10. As you can't upgrade your power supply you can't get the 5770 or any other similar video cards.

Honestly if I were you I would not let the power supply limit my choice in video cards. Instead I would buy a cheap Computer Case, A Good but Cheap/Stronger Power supply, then buy a GPU like a 5770/6770. You can probably buy a cheap case, power supply, and a used 5770/6770 or a used GTX 460 for the same price as a new GTX 750 or a 7750. If you go this route you can buy a used GPU and a used case but don't buy a used Power Supply. I'll give you an example...

If you keep at it you will be bound to find a used 5770/6770/GTX 460 for around $50 or cheaper.

You can find different kind of cases new and used in varying price ranges $8-40 are the cheaper ones.

EVGA 500W Power Supply $42.99 = $27.99 after $15.00 Rebate
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... gnorebbr=1

You could buy all three parts in $100 or a little over. If you're lucky under $100...

You power users always have to get all the top of the line stuff, I'm kinda jealous.
By the way you should stick with 3.1.1 for Workgroups, it's more stable. :P

Re: 2K15 PC Specifications Speculations

Sat Aug 16, 2014 5:51 am

@LKGPUR - Sorry I don't think so. One of my desktops is very similar to yours, except it has a discrete Gigabyte 7850OC that I overlocked ontop of the factory overclock. It struggles on games like Dragon Age (Origins, II), Witcher (1 and 2), Thief, etc because of the weak AMD Dual-Core CPU/APU. You don't have a discrete video card like my particular build so your gameplay experience would be significantly worse.

.:edit:.

Wait I realized that the A4-5000 is a Quad-Core. The problem is that it's a very slow Quad-Core APU. From benchmarks it struggles to get 20FPS in some games so I don't think you'll be able to play 2K15. Maybe a good video card will help but the APU will bottleneck the GPU

idk cpu but runs cpu heavy games well....

Re: 2K15 PC Specifications Speculations

Sat Aug 16, 2014 6:30 am

@mr.hooper6 - You should be fine also. The 8350 is one of the best AMD CPUs that exist. As for your GPUs they are both good. You'll probably run the game fine. I won't say sure for good as the requirements haven't been released.

Well you never know, the requirements will be out soon. So I would hold off on upgrading until we know more.

Re: 2K15 PC Specifications Speculations

Sat Aug 16, 2014 6:48 am

@LKGPUR - Yes, like columbusbobby23 said waiting is the best. The A4-5000 (Kabini) is based off of AMD's Jaguar Core which the APUs in the NG Consoles are based off that too. So your APU is like a halved Console CPU. The reason why I said it would not be enough was because I saw that your APU struggled, in my idea and standards, to play games. For example.

Tomshardware Benchmark
F1 2012
Ultra Low/Low = ~30FPS AVG, ~20FPS MIN
Skyrim
Low = 25-32FPS AVG, 22-26FPS MIN
Tombraider
Low = 21-36FPS AVG, 17-24FPS MIN
Metro: Last Light
Low = 11FPS AVG, 3FPS MIN

Anandtech Benchmark
Bioshock: Infinte
Medium = 12FPS
Sleeping Dogs
Medium = 18FPS
Starcraft II
Medium = 5FPS

If the A4-5000 runs those games at those FPS I'm not sure it will do any better with 2K15. The only IGP GPU I would even think of recommending playing newer games would be the 7850K APU/7800 APU with a similar/identical to a HD 7750.

PFF, don't make me laugh. My guess is you know about computers well enough. The Unlocked i5's are the third strongest CPU available for each generation. i7 w/ 6-8 Cores, i7 w/ 4 Cores with HT, and i5 w/4 Cores. Intel's i5 processors are also the general CPU to get the best bang for buck in gaming. Yours being a Haswell version it's the second newest unlocked i5 behind the 4690K. I doubt you will need to upgrade anytime soon unless games all of a sudden get very intensive and maybe the addition of bad optimizations like Watch Dogs.

yh hopefully 2k will offer great optimization i have a intel core2 duo e8500 with a nvidia gt 520 4 gb of ram and i played watch dogs in 25-30 fps on low but it was soo choppy and twitched and was such badly optimized hopefully 2k optimizes there pc version well so that low end pcs can play as well on lowest

Re: 2K15 PC Specifications Speculations

Sat Aug 16, 2014 11:37 am

These are my current system specs.

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8400 @ 2.66GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.7GHz

Memory: 3072MB RAM

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1

Video Card: GIGABYTE NVIDIA GTX 560 Ti OC 1GB DDR5

I'm going to upgrade RAM to 4 GB DDR2 for now and upgrade to 64-bit operating system. I believe with these specs I should be able to run at least NBA 2K15 on medium graphics. To be honest I'm quite happy to play 2K15 with 2K14 PC graphics, but simply have the self shadowing and player sweating details added. Currently I max everything out at 1920x1200 resolution for NBA 2K14 with constant 60 frames per second.

And since I'm mostly interested in playing NBA 2K15 & FIFA 15 this year, I'm not desperate to rebuild a new PC from scratch.
I will probably build a new computer in 1-2 years time. Since my GTX 560 Ti still runs most of the games really well, it's better to upgrade when it becomes obsolete. By then I will have a more powerful computer rather than rushing to upgrade now. :P
