dang it i might just cry lol if they are right then i am screwed a quad core cpu as its minimum come on hopefully the minimum is wrong
sry if thats depressing for you right now
but tbh that was to be expected and everyone who was asked for advise here including me has repeatetly said that a solid Quad Core is likley nessessary
so i can imagine it beeing a blow to some here who have really old CPUs but its not exactly suprising after all we are talking about a Next Gen Port here
also please note that game-debate only speculates the same as we do^^ nothings confirmed yet

I'm in the same boat as some of you. One of my desktops that have my 7850 only has a Dual-Core APU. I'm waiting to see if AMD releases a new APU/CPU for my Motherboard Socket in 2015. Hopefully a 6-Core or higher but they might not release anything at all. If AMD disappoints me again there is no point in waiting. I'll either build on Intel's X97 or X99. I will only purchase upgrades when I see benchmarks of the game and the overall performance of the builds I want.
As for djherokiller, the AMD Triple Core unlocked to Quad-Core will be closer to a side-grade. You may still get better performance than your E8500. For now keep thinking on the GPU side as you probably wouldn't be able to get smooth FPS with an i5/i7 if you kept using your GT 520.

here is what i got with my current system now:
Playable Games Check
CPU GFX RAM
68% 18% 91%
Here is what i would get if i upgrade my computer with the parts i have:
Playable Games Check
CPU GFX RAM
87% 18% 100%
btw what does this mean and are my results any good or ok

@djherokiller
It means your graphics card is able to play 18% of games released in the last year(Without any noticeable performance problems)
Not too bad except for your GPU.

Thanks, it's a relief because that setup is just one year old and i would be pissed if it can't handle a 2015 game.
columbusbobby23 wrote:I have the same setup as you do, Except I have the MSI 970A-G46. Have you thought about using your TV as a monitor? I have my 42in. LCD hooked up through the HDMI and it works great. Also my video card is slightly less powerful than yours and I run 2K14 maxed out with V-sync turned on at about 50FPS(720p). You should be able to do the same on your setup.
Edit: What is your refresh rate?
I haven't tried it yet but i will if some problem occurs or i'm gonna test the game with a good monitor. My refresh rate is 60 since i've read some stuff that explaining 75 is useless and harmful to eyes.

Well, having something flashing 60 times per second isn't too healthy for your eyes too...
75Hz refresh rate is good if you have problems with 60Hz (some people get headaches, or their eyes "hurt". Also if you notice flickering in corners while you are looking in the middle of the screen, 75Hz should get rid of that.
To sum it up - you probably don't need 75Hz monitor if you have no problems with using 60Hz one.

Which GPU is better? Radeon R9 270X 2GB GDDR5 256 Bit OR nVidia GeForce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 256 Bit? I don't really want to pay 150 USD more if the difference isn't really that big.

Just go to any benchmark games tests resource and you'll see. Or simplest step Google — "R9 270X vs. GTX 760" - and you see all you want

that completly depends on what do you want as results in gaming
if you want a card that plays everything(2k15 included) that is out right now on High(depending on how good the rest of your PC is)
the R9 will be more than enough
but if you want a card that plays everything right now on High-Max and will propably be able to handle most games over the next 2 years the GTX would be the choice
so it depends on what you need of it

Man, When will the requirements go out? I hope there'll be a miracle that a dual core with 3gb ram can handle it T_T.. my wallet is not yet ready!

dual core.. there is a slim chance
but 3g Ram no way!!!! 4gb will be the absoluty minimum i can garanty you that!!
every halfway modern game needs 4gb Ram

Can I upgrade my RAM? or do I have to buy a whole CPU? I'm still a noob in computers btw

usually your mainboard has slots where the ram sits in.. so you can either add ram if you have free slots or replace the old one

Sorry mate, but dual-core is recommended for PC 2K14. You're most probably running on an 32-bit system and I wouldn't be surprised if those RAM were DDR2.
If you want to play new games on decent quality settings at decent resolution you should get new PC.

How about this laptop?
* any possible resolution (if there is)
* Win 8.0 64-bit
* i5-4200U @ 1.60GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.3GHz
* NVidia geforce gt 740m 2gb ddr3, graphics clock: 980 MHz
--- accdg to cpu-z, clocks -> core: 540 mhz memory: 900 mhz
* RAM ddr3 2gb (there are 3 slots left i think)
edit: Ive thought once before to upgrade its ram (or add) but upon researching about rams in the net, i never really went thru it as it seemed that combining rams was a quite complicated thing.

very very hard
even though its a I5 1.6GHZ is not very strong
the 740M is considerably weaker then lets say the desktop version of the 750Ti
2gb Ram is not nearly enough
tbh that looks like an Office Laptop.. this is not made for gaming

i think system requirements of nba 2k15 is same as nba 2k14 system requirement some of system requirements has upgraded
here's my suggsetion of system requirements for laptop users
4 gb of ram
and i5 cpu
and hd i5
