NBA 2k15 Trailer

at first sight i also thought" slight downgrade from 2k14. its because the lighting is now more dim to some degree, vs sharp. So to find out the truth i paused it at the best clip i could get with a clsoe up. Birdman leaning over in 2k15(from the youtube post in this thread) vs NBA 2k14 image of Birdman facing the front. The 1st thing you can tell is what i said. 2k14 was brighter and more sharp/crisp. 2k15 looks a bit more dulled out but if you look closely it looks a lot more realistic. and you can see clearly the hair graphics are on another level in 2k15. look at the separate strands in that bierd, look at the hawk on top of his head in 2k15 to the left... its looks like real hair. where is 2k15 looks like someon drew that spike on. same with his beard in 2k15, it looks like a drawing rather then actual loose strands of hair. So i stand corrected. this 2k15 vid looks better then 2k14

Remember 2k15 is on the left, 2k14 is on th right.

Exactly my point Just look at some of the screenshots of NBA 2K14 PC version posted here viewtopic.php?f=151&t=92701.
Those screenshots look absolutely incredible, but it's just a still photo which does not tell the whole picture about the game:









Even if the game won't come out perfect with all the talent we have here @nlsc all the shortcomings in lighting and so on will be corrected, considering what was done with default versions in previous nba 2k games on PC, so no panic ^&@*!@#

Loved the trailer… getting really excited about the game. I'm a PC guy (haven't owned a console since Playstation 1) and I've never played 2k14 on any of the next gen consoles… but, as long as they have the GIGANTO-PLAYER-HEADS under control, then I'm looking forward to next gen 2k15 on PC! From all of the gameplay footage of 2k15 I've seen so far, it looks like the player's heads are all normal. Some of the heads are just so damn big on the PC--especially the Euroleague players. It was almost like a joke how huge they were--it look like NBA JAM!

Anyhow, the trailer looks awesome, and I'm looking forward to it!

Man, im so glad im going to play this amazing game on PC i just dont really care what minor shit or fucking lighting will be there. Its just like that.
But as i am a human and i always have something to complain about i have to admit that bodies looked a bit too slim for me. Even in warmups.
I absolutely love shoes though!

its obvious 2k14 is more "shiny" maybe thats what some people are missing, but maybe they just changed the Sweat System and late Game it will look like 2k14? we dont know

2k14 looks more "bling bling"
2k15 (too me at least) looks a bit more "real" not as flashy..while still looking amazing... In real Life Players dont oil up in Sweat that much how they do in 2k14.. so i quite like if they toned it down a bit

both look stunning compared to PC 2k14... and thats the main Point here

im going out on a limb here to say.... most here havent played Next Gen 2k14 extensivly...i do appreciate some graphical insight here and there... but at least i think "downgrade" is a way too strong word here..

'Yakkem Trailer' (such a stupid title) is so mediocre, so bland, so uninspiring.
And who came up with an idea of using 'Suck my Kiss' for a BASKETBALL video? Those lyrics are about a high schooler dreaming of oral sex!

If it comes to graphics - yeah, they're kinda flat when compared to NBA 2k14 next-gen. From those 2k15 trailers it looks like skin shaders are kinda subdued and somehow the lights were toned down too much. But maybe that's an old build or someone screwed up a little during postproduction of the trailer.

Bla Bla Bla, Stop crying guys ! First this is just a trailer, they maybe used filters and stuff that aren't in the game.
After the game looks less "plastic perfect" than 2K14.. Some players like Melo or D-Rose are looking less babyfaced (from what I saw) than the 2K14 version.
Ballyoop your screenshots aren't good, I didn't play 2K14 but I've seen a lot gameplay videos, and I've never saw something like the Harden screenshot.
Then finnally, who cares ? The game looks like to have brand new cheerleaders, hair physics (maybe on players), players intro, better crowds noises.. And maybe a bunch of new stuff for the gameplay !
And at last, as a PC gamer, there's nothing to complain about. We don't have to deal with the shitty downgraded 2K10 version that they sell us every year !
Of course the modders will have to do some works on cyberfaces and stuff but they where gonna do it anyway...

Downgraded trailer haha, i love 2k trailers, until i watch some yt trailers. Hard to not agree that 2k15 trailer is the worst and different from previous ones, but cmon its only trailer, music+cutscenes, nothing more. You like or not, is this mean game will be bad? open up your minds guys really.

One more guys, really, prepare yourself that 2k15 defaults courts, logos ,maybe jerseys will be not even close to 2k14 pc mods, details, reso,colors, all mentioned things are better right now in 2k13/14 download section. Good excercise for you, before 2k15, uninstall all mods in 2k13/2k14 and try to remember how it looks and after u get this try to compare both games.

with all the talk about 2k14 Next Gen vs 2k15 Next Gen... this is a PC dominated Community

now if you look how 2k14 on PC looked unmodded.. and then watch the trailer again.... yeah...

instead of beeing happy about this HUGE step up for PC... some are still complaining... imagine.. we get this amazing Engine to mod !!!

once our amazing Modders can get some tools to work and properly start modding... look at what our great community had done with the old engine!!! now imagine such improvements on the new engine!

Don't get me wrong guys. I'm sure NBA 2k15 will be a great game. Just because the foundation is so strong, there's not really much to fix - only to improve. It just sucks that they're not able to prepare an explosive, emotional, thrilling trailer. There's so much capabilities to entertain and pump the audience up when it comes to basketball footage and they blew it.
Also remember that not everybody here is a PC-only gamer. Myself, for example - I played NBA 2k14 on my PS4 so the 'it's next-gen on PC' hype didn't hit me as much as some other guys here.
The other thing is - I still remember PC versions lacking self shadows (SSAO) so I worry a little bit about graphics in 2k15. But hey, I'll buy the game anyways - just like every year. And I'm damn sure I will have a blast with new NBA 2k, just like every year.
