Kevin Durant talks about the KD MVP Bonus Pack, which is available when you pre-order NBA 2K15 for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

This includes:
- 5,000 Virtual Currency
- Kevin Durant Throwback MyTEAM Card
- Two MyTEAM Card Packs
- MyPLAYER Leg Sleeves, Inspired By Kevin Durant

That's a first, they usually separate PC out. If the retail sites list it when they update for the preorder bonus, then I'm going to get very interested

If it is the next gen version that's getting released i would buy it new at full price for the first time since 2k5.

A promising sign for now, at least.

Hi Guys. I'm new here, nice to meet you all.

I just want to say that if NBA 2k15 comes to pc with next gen graphics, I will buy nba on steam and I think everybody here will to. 2k14 was a poor port from the ps360 with just a few things different from 2k13. My question for you, that know so much more than me, is: The chance of the 2k15 comes to pc with next gen graphics is above or under 50% ?

obs: I'm from brazil and we dont have a forum as cool as this forum right here. Sorry for my awful english.

Even though I really want pc to have "Next-gen" graphics, 70% of me is saying that we wont have next-gen while 30% of me still believes in Leftos' powers.

2K could take FIFA 15 as example.

Hey bros. I just made an account to make you believe that (or at least make me believe) that NBA 2K15 is indeed gonna get next-gen treatment.
Image
This one is from Gamestop.
IT IS FREAKING 60 US DOLLARS AND THERE IS ALSO A BONUS PACK WITH VC!

This one is from Amazon
Image
Here it is side by side with XBONE version. Same price there.

And lastly, here is the preorder page on their Facebook. Nothing like '*PC Version won't include VC' or something along those lines.
Image
There you go! WE JUST HAVE TO BELIEVE!

PS. And for the record FIFA 15 is indeed gonna be the same along PC and PS4/XBONE

Re: Any news about NBA 2K15 for PC?

Well, the way I see it we've got couple of clues and it can go either way.
1) Price bump.
The price can be lowered in following weeks/months.
Or PC version will be ported from "next-gen" version. They've had quite some time now to port this and since it is considerably easier to port games now, I believe they might as well do this.
I don't expect them to try selling us slightly updated version for double the usual price. That would be just suicide in terms of sales.

2) Not excluding PC from that pre-order offer. If PC wan't getting this offer they should exclude it. Or at least they did in past.

3) Presence of PS3/X360 versions. To be honest this is what haunts me most. The fact that they continue to release for old generation of consoles means that they can release the "old" PC version. If they were to release 2K15 only for X1/PS4 and PC I don't think they would give us the old version. Again that would be suicide for PC sales (honestly who would buy probably the same game with new cover, roster and same bugs).

I feel like there is indeed a good chance that PC version will finally stop being nerfed (after all, I imagine that some players would actually generate revenue from VC) and we'll get full version once again. And sooner we get it, the sooner we can mod it.

Sadly, Leftos is now like Gabe Newell regarding info he can provide, thanks to his contract and NDA.
Actually what I don't understand is why they don't take advantage of PC modding community and cooperate with us little bit. Like giving us opportunity to point out areas of game which long-time players notice as weak and giving them opinions on how this could be improved. Or some kind of wishlist (my first thing would be revamped mycareer mode, where player would improve based on what he does, not buying stats for VC/SP).
It would be arguably good for the game, good for the community and finally good for their PR. I call that a win-win situation.

Because they want you buying the console versions.

Why do you think that we don't keep watching the community for feedback?

So true... Sadly, So true. But, I have a little hope that 2k15 can be a next gen for PC. I would definitely buy 2k15 as soon as it launched. Lets pray, guys.

Because you don't respond to every single question, request or comment. Instead you just sit around with Andre Drummond drinking iced tea and thinking of new bugs to add to the code.

I've already read from the community before that if the PC version had all the features of the console version, that they would gladly pay the full $60. Now you are going to demand it to be next-gen?

Would you like the current modding tools to work(with little or some adaptation) on a full fledged last-gen console port of 2K15, or would you rather have a nextgen version that you probably can't run at max settings on your pc that would need brand new tools created for modding capabilities, and doesn't require you to buy a new console if you haven't already?

That's what we had with NBA 2K14. 60% of mods were next gen mod. It wasn't even close to it and all other mods were almost same as 2k13 mods. If next gen comes I don't need mods at all I would enjoy online game and great grpahics. If I would have some problems running it with 6 core cpu and 650 ti boost I would upgrade it and run it fine. It would be still more cheaper than buying ps4 console. Reducing resolution always gives some boost and antil aliasing. On Game-Debate I see many people have amazing computers and they play Watch Dogs and BF4 without problems like me. I really want next gen. Already thankful to EA for FIFA 15. Sorry for english.

I'm not saying you don't keep watching. I'm saying there is no direct communication. Like coming over to the forums, giving photo proof it's someone from dev team (in your particular case it's not necessary, but I imagine you've got enough to do) and writing "Hey guys, give us Top 10 list of bugs that really piss you off and we'll see what we can do about it".

Maybe you do watch and implement stuff into console versions (probably into the "next-gen" version, because it was easier to put stuff into new game), but I'm sorry I didn't really notice PC version getting much fixed.
For example one of the things I saw most people saying is VC on PC. Console versions have to unlock some of the stuff with VC. PC version is copy-pasted in regards of unlocking stuff, but VC is missing, making stuff locked (star players in blacktop, attribute cap for mycareer, etc...). People were saying it's irrational and it was pissing them off in 2K13, where it was basically just the blacktop.
2K14 comes out and even more stuff is locked behind the VC.

I'm sorry, but PC version wasn't getting any love last few years. I don't play on consoles, it's possible (and probable) that many features in version for the new consoles are inspired by community wishes. But I'm not gonna buy $535+ console because of one series of games. Because I really wouldn't play Battlefield on gamepad.

I really do hope 2k releases a next gen version for NBA 2k15 PC. EA is already doing so with Fifa, if there is a next gen version then I along with most of my friends will be willing to pay full retail price to purchase the game, otherwise we won't be buying the game at all as most of us do not have and will not be purchasing next gen consoles for a while.

I know for sure that I will be finally be purchasing FIFA on pc this fall after a long time.

i must say this, but u guys are foolish who think that if 2k decides to port nextgen on pc u will need some high end pc's, to make it clear i'm not by any means some expert but my IT & PC knowledge is pretty much advanced and all i can say nextgen graphics as seen on 2k14 (PS4/X1) can be smoothly played on dual core processor with 4 or more L2 cache, 2gb ram memory and most of gpu's from 256bit architecture onwards..don't spend money on upragding your pc's if u have something equivalent to this

I know that 2K Sports/Visual Concepts keep watching feedback, BUT...as all we know PC players were ignored in NBA 2K series. To remind you the 2K14 version wasn't even the same version as PS3/X360.
They hardly were posting something about PC if ever except release date and typical pre-release stuff. You are from Greece, so you should know that European players are having massive lags, because PC servers are only in North America...
With you on board I hope that studio's interested in PC scene, but I'm not sure if we will be taken seriously as a part of 2K gamers.
Belive me - if you won't release next-gen on console I bet more than 50% of this forum will just pirate the game.
People won't say it here, but it will be open secret. You as a one guy can't do much (or maybe You can, I hope so), but I hope you will show devs this post and those comments.

EA made their move with FIFA 15, but now it's time for 2K.
PC = Always-Gen

Re: Any news about NBA 2K15 for PC?

Pc gamers got their game, their official patches all in one update (except last year we got none), and now we are getting what seems to be a full version of the game on par with the consoles(last gen or not). Pc was not ignored, otherwise no game would have ever been released. It's the success of the 2k series and the demand and hardware capabilities of pc players and their pc's that 2k even got released on pc. Not to mention the capitalization after EA stopped releasing their game.

2k has always had server issues, international or USA. Remember, one year the details were locked on low because of a benchmark bug that was never fixed, iirc.

If 2k received significant sales from the pc game regardless of piracy, it would only benefit them to continuethe Tennessee off the game on pc at full price, with all features, and hopefully as a current gen port with full features on par with the consoles.

I would rather have the next gen port.
All the features of the consoles? Yeah we're talking about the CURRENT-GEN consoles. We're not talking about Xbox 360 and PS3. Our computers are orders of magnitude better than last gen consoles and if your computer isn't tough luck. Get a PS3 or Xbox 360 or miss out.

This is why I love games like Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed. They don't pamper the people with crappy PCs.

We in the PC community are being handicapped by the lowest common denominator. There needs to be a minimum standard for PCs that changes every year. If you fall below the benchmark, then you are considered to have an obsolete PC and should have no expectation of being able to run any games.

Re: Any news about NBA 2K15 for PC?

Sun Jun 08, 2014 6:19 am

Sweet, so we can spend thousands of dollars a year to upgrade our pc's just to play games. You might as well ask the console makers to create an updated version of their console every year.

Many of our computers are better than the current consoles, as well.

Remember that the pc basketball genre is quite small. It doesn't mean we should be kissing ass because we geta pc bball game, but we also shouldn't wine if we don't get catered to. The bottom line is the cost effectiveness of porting a current gen port vs a last gen port, depending on both the development costs and the likelihood that enough people have a pc good enough to run the game and are willing to buy it at full price, compared to the people with lower end pc's that can run the last gen port.

It's sad how console gaming is holding PCs from getting awesome games. Hope they will port new NBA instead of old crap.
