Can 2 people play one another on the same PC? If so how ?

Yes, provided you have at least two controllers on hand.

Yes I have 2 controllers but game crashes when I hit play with a friend (I think that's the name of the button)

1) Go to quick game
2) You will be assigned to the home team
3) Your friend will press left or right on keyboard/dpad or to the move left stick left or right to play with or against you
5) ???
6) Profit
7) Profit also in MyLeague etc...
