NBA Rules

Postby TheGame8544 on Thu Oct 16, 2014 3:11 am

Can anyone tell me how I edit the rules for the games?

I personally HATE defensive 3 seconds and 3 in the key. They are hardly ever called in real NBA games and 2k is completely unforgiving in calling them at exactly 3 seconds. Was this removed from the game?

Thanks!

Plenty of views and no responses. As far as I can tell, the ability to change the rules (other than lowering the sliders for foul calls) was removed. I hope I'm wrong.

I believe you can change them. I never tried to because I don't believe that 2K refs are unforgiving. I've gotten probably two calls one on offense, one on defense. The offensive one, my teammate took forever to pass me the ball, and once I got it, I didn't have a good shot, went to pass, 3 seconds. The defensive one, I was cheating over off the ball too much with two feet in the paint and didn't get out quick enough.

My theory is that they are less forgiving when you are standing in the middle of the key, versus moving around and near the edges.

Yeah, I'm a bit of a cheater on defense. I tend to like to hang out in the post and just swat shots away all game. It's the one area I tend to cheat a little bit in. It hardly gets called in the NBA in real life anyway.

I'm with you though. It isn't as bad on offense, but it definitely is on defense. Hang around a second too long in the low post, and they will call the foul. So I prefer to just turn it off.

I've been looking for this since I got the game and can't find it. Wanted to set up some fun Arcade Style settings, but no dice thus far.

Glad to see I'm not the only one not able to find it. Seems like a strange oversight to remove something like this that has been in every single 2k game I can remember. Strange...

Given they are disabled for the park and defensive 3sec shold be disabled for euroteams (didin't try that though), it should be in there somewhere.

Good point. I'd sure think so. Maybe a hidden setting or something?
