Yesterday evening I saw a 95 OVR Player in my park.
I was really shocked and disappointed, as 2k has told us that this wont be possible in 2k15. I could not find the thread, but one of the 2k members even wrote that such an Overall wont be possible in 2k15.
So in some weeks the park will be full of allround mutants again instead of real Basketball characters with strength and weaknesses.
2k messed it up with one decision. This decision is to include the Option to use more than the 74 Upgrades you start with.
These 74 Upgrades were perfectly fine to create good Players of all types. Allrounders, scorers, defenders, playmakers.
They would have strength and some weaknesses. But now with beeing able to use up to 100 Upgrades, if u just play enough my career and earn them, you can build a perfect Player once again.
Earning those Upgrades seems pretty easy, as I am still in my Rookie season with many games left, and I have already earned 3 additional Upgrades.
There are 6 categories in which we can put our Points. 20 Points are the mximum of Upgrades.... just do some math and you see, that using 100 upgrades you can either be perfect in 5 of 6 categories or build an extremly strong Player that averages about17 Upgrades in every category, which means hes in the deep 80s in almost everything.
I just ask myself why 2k why? Why cant you Keep this mode closer to reality. We dont want to Play with freakplayers (otherwise we would play NBA street)... defending is hard enough online anyhow. Is the reason really that 2k wants to make that extra dime from the expensive late upgrades in our my career which cost 3000-4500 VC for one Point? I cant find any other Explanation than that for it.
What does the community think?
Do you enjoy to Play with all These Michael Jordan and LBJ like characters online (which will happen in some weeks). Or would you prefer a more realistic Approach like I do?
