Face Scans... do you like yours?

I really need this feature in pc version... look amazing
i tried in editor and result was someone like conan obrien

If the ps4 camera is not plugged in, is likely that the feature will not sure up.

Why 2K went about scanning your face and the trouble of making the software to do that when they could have just allowed users to upload pictures or something, I don't know.

Didn't one of the NBA Lives have that option one year? If I recall, it didn't work too well. Looked ridiculous like they just stuck a flat 2d sticker onto the top of the player's torso.

I think they make you sit there for 2 minutes to capture the 3d facial features from multiple forward angles. That's why you have to move your head left and right during the scan. Pretty awesome technology. Plus, the games these days feature player expressions too, maybe not something they could do with photos.

Face-in-the-Game was alright for its time if you used it properly, but it's definitely primitive compared to the face scanning.

What I would like to see in an update is some extra options for the face scanning. Some color correction for artificial lighting could fix a lot of issues.

Our cellphone cameras have it, is just software. Presets for daylight, incandescent, fluorescent, and some sliders for cool-warm lighting, tint, saturation, brightness and contrast should be able to improve face scans immensely. Even a fade option for the edges so people can remove those black marks around the jaw and cheek.

I finally got a good one. I kept getting things behind me textured on to the side of my jaw. Instead of starting facing the camera, I started facing the left, then slowly moved to the right. I'll post a thread of progress later on.There were some make fails.

So i tried to face scan last night for at least an hour and a half. All was good. Now i wake up to play again my face is gone. This game is really starting to piss me off.

Ive just spend 65€ on buying ps4 camera and then i realize i cant scan my face when im creating myself in normal roster edit,cuz i wanna have myself in myleague mode...
Cant believe thay 2k guys didnt put this option here,i jusr wasted my money and wanna throw this camera in garbage cuz i dont need..myself like a lot of other people only play myleague mode and not this boring mycareer...and now camera is useless..and also we have this great option in the game,but we cant use it :SSS
Can 2k please make this possible soon in some update???

2k made this option..make great advertisement of it,u buy a game,buy a ps4 camera (just for this)..u start a game and there is no NORMAL option that should be there...

Lesson learned. Read the information of the game before buying it.

MyGm and MyCareer, not in creating rosters

i like my face scan. 4500 reference pts. any tips on how to make MyPlayer less muscular? 6'3 175 lbs lean. i would prefer d.rose's body type but the game is always giving me a very muscular blake griffin like arms.

I tried that with a bottle of tequila that is shaped like a skull. It picks it up for half a second, then Lee's track.

For anyone continuing to have trouble, I just discovered you can calibrate the camera in the ps4 settings. I did one scan and the head shape turned out great, but the texture still had issues on the cheeks and jaw.
