How to send team mate on cut ?

[I Hate Mondays]

In the controls info it says to press RB/R1 , press the team mate's actiom buttom (A B X Y / X Circle Square Triangle) and then move RS to cut. It doesn't work like this. The player I want to send to the cut doesn't move when I move my RS. Anyone knows how to solve this ?
