CONTACT DUNK ANIMATION DISCUSSION / BLOCKED DUNKS

Lately i've seen a lot of people discussing about the contact dunk animations being cheesy and that they should be emoved from the game, and here are my thoughts, i hope you'll express your thoughts in the comments and we could dicuss it.

My first solution for the people that complain about that is that 2k should readjust the sliders, or you can do it if your are not playing myTeam (were most of the complains talk about) like Assossiaion, MyGm.

And the other, it ttok me a while to think this, but i think its a really big and good idea and would improve the game not just for the dunks, also for the option to try whenever to try a dunk or not.

does anyone remember 2k13? there were no posterize dunk animations, and the dunks were so fucking unrealistic. you were doing contact dunk animations were there was no defender, and when a defender was there it was the most unrealistic dunk posterizer ever. Look what i would reccomend 2k is, first that the user should be able to decide whenevver he wants to try a dunk, and then also have dunk block animations or dunk missed animations. So smart people when going to the paint against big centers should have an option to do a layup avoiding the block, and also a option to try a dunk. Everyplayer should have a different % of chance to make both shots, athletic players should have a higher % of making a poster dunk, and also a higher % of making a contact layup. High skilled players should have a higher % of making tear drops or fakes or shots avoiding the defender. And the thing goes also with defenders, centers with more athleticism and blocking abilty should have a higher % of chance of blocking the shot, and the % should go up ro down depending on who was trying to posterize them, and the same with non atheltic and non blocking specialitzed centers. So after all this when a situation like this was going to happen in the game depending on the guy trying to posterize and the guy trying to block it there should be a % of the dunk to happen and a % of the block or missed dunk to happen. I think its a really good idea, and im a relly good fan of 2k and ive been thinking about this a long time. Is that all right to you?

And also i think that the blocked dunks should be changed. First, blocked dunks are so unrealistic, they only get blocked the back scatchers and the reverse dunks, and most of the times in a real game that blocks 100% would be a foul. So following the same metheod from above there should be animations (but only for the block shots from infront, the blocked shots from the back like on a fastbreak should be increase the % of calling shooting fouls and thats it, we dont need animations for that, i mean like animations that you are stuck on) but the blocked dunks should be an animation were you are stuck on but following the metheod above, to make it realistic.

What do you think?

The dunks and dunking mechanics for the 2K series gets better every year in my opinion. Some years they only do minor adjustments and other years they add something major to that part of the game. But I'm happy with the progress they have been making in that area. We will soon see what they have in store for 2K15, but I'm not worried.

On a side note, you really need to use spell check. No offense but your post was difficult to read and understand fully.
