How to earn VC in mygm?

I usually sim the game and enter in the 4th quarter. I didn't earn any vc in this method. So I tried playing a 4 min per quarter game and only earned around 200+vc.
In the my portfolio it says that I should earn a minimum of 800+ vc per game. Should I play 12 mins to earn the full vc?

I play 12 min quarters and get the amount of vc in the picture per game.
Within the next two days i have enough to buy my team. I let you know how much that affects the earnings.
