Agreed. No surprises that the graphics aren't that much of a step up from last year for 360/PS3, but hopefully there are some gameplay and mode enhancements if nothing else.

The court appears bigger, the player smaller. The spacing MAY finally be improved. Too early to really tell since we'd need some gameplay to see how the AI teammates behave and whether they insist on getting in your way all the time to screw things up or not. Also, no way to tell if the CPU still closes out to contest shots with inhuman speed or not. Getting the players/court proportions somewhat right is a good start though.

So yeah, that's the most significant news of the day in my opinion. Crew? Yawn. Let me go right back to sleep.

Even this seemingly ugly graphics better (especially shadows), than original, unmodded NBA2K14 PC

Nah, the graphics are identical to 2K13/14. Only reason it might look better to you is because of the self-shadowing that console gets by default.

No PC logo last year, either. Again, the PC version is rarely mentioned when the game is marketed, except in a very "And Zoidberg" fashion of acknowledging that yes, the PC will be getting it too.

I stand corrected. All I remember was that the NBA 2K14 current gen trailer definitely did show PC. So I guess we'll find out for sure when the first trailer comes out.

I'm starting to wonder if 2K deliberately made the graphics of the current-gen version look worse so that the next-gen version looks good. Because those graphics look considerably worse than any PC version of NBA 2K game that I've played. I know I play NBA 2K14 PC at 1920x1200 with everything at max settings with MSAA at 8x. But still I would expect the game to not look this bad even without MSAA! Considering that I don't use any graphic mods.

I've seen previous screenshots of the PS3/Xbox 360 versions of NBA 2K12/13/14 and they all looked much better than these screenshots.
If I'm not exaggerating those screenshots look like PS2 graphical quality. Everything seems to look like low detail quality, only upscaled at HD resolution...

honestly i think they should ditch the whole last gen game

if nessesarry pause PC for a year and come back with XBONE PS4 and PC full current gen with new features and without compromises

at this point(i may be completly wrong) this seems half assed to me...

who is gonna buying this? they would need a MAJOR gameplay/feature addition because i doubt anyone is buying a bad looking roster update..

And that's why they re-added Crew mode. I can really see them ditching last-gen next year as most people will probably have x1/ps4 by then and even PC gamers will probably ipgrade over the course of the year if they have weaker rig, in order to keep up with new games and lazier devs (generally - games are getting less and less optimized, especially in terms of memory usage).

I watched the live broadcast yesterday and when they started showing 2K11 crew mode, for a split second, I thought it was the new engine or "Next Gen". So yea, I think they've been dumbing the graphics down ever since NBA 2K11.

That wouldn't make any sense for 2kSports.. Many people still have old-gen consoles and not everybody has made a transition to current-gen yet. There are still a lot of money to be made form PS360 owners as shown by Ubisoft, which is making a completely different Assassins Creed game because Unity is PC/new-gen consoles only. There would probably be a good amount of people buying 2k15 just to get to play with rookies and updates rosters, i.e. Ohio console owners, excited to control their new Love/James/Irving core. But yeah, a bigger number of people would just skip buying a game without any major changes. That's why they are putting Crew mode back for last-gen only, which many craved for, so now probably even some owners of a new-gen system, that still didn't sell/threw away their playstationboxes will buy it.. And taking a break from PC release is also probably throwing money away, whatever version they were going to release for the Master Race..

i got you XPviper

i fell just a little sick n tired of getting half assed PC versions...

i dont want any "master-race" treatment.. i want equal treatment

just hope we get something this year...

not even graphics but at least a full feature PC copy even if its the old graphics

but they did cut out features from PC... thats just a bit disrespectfull to buying customers..

This reminds me of NBA 2K9, especially the court and uniform graphics.

However, menus look better than NBA 2K14 CG's menus.
