Live Ultimate Team - Challenges & Discussion

Must admit I haven't fired up the game yet today, I'm just going by the article that I saw linked on social media.

I saved up a ridiculous 56k in gold to get the limited throwback pack hoping to get a legend. Got 2 gold players, a signature Jeff green which I am auctioning off and old Sonics and pistons logos which I am also auctioning off trying to recoup some of my losses

The packs odds are terrible. Way worse than last year.

I'm not trying to be negative but just speaking the truth. I realized sooner than later that the pack odds in LUT15 were worse compared to LUT14 but I always gave it hope that it would get better especially since I voiced out my displeasure on Twitter to EA. Well I don't have Twitter anymore but I did make this video calling them out. I forgot how to properly post a video on these forums so I apologize. I'm almost strictly offline so I play only the solo challenges. I've done them all and I was at a point where I only have to worry about doing the new weekly challenges. The 3 new ones this week I'm not even going to bother playing. The advertise new spotlight cards and legends but hardly anyone has them! Part of that is the pricing of their packs which is a complete ripoff. Part of it is the bad pack odds. Do any of you know anyone that has a Kevin Durant or CP3? I haven't seen those players. I've seen two Lebron's on Xbox and that's it. One was posted this week that was the Christmas edition and the starting price was 1 million coins and buy not at 1.5 million coins. I want to tell that person to go screw themselves. Anyway, I don't like the direction EA is going with their sports games. It's very UT focused and although I get why they're doing it because it brings in money, it doesn't mean I agree with it.

Well, you don't wanna make it too easy either. I hated playing Madden ut and when you got to a 99 team rating, you would get your normal team matched up against guys with 95+ rated players at every position and 2 or 3 deep.

Man, I was disappointed to logon last week to see them featuring Gary Payton, one of my favorite players of all time and knowing that I would not be able to get him or any other legend. What a tease.

I'm fine with not making it too easy but c'mon man. The gold premium packs went from 5K coins in 14 to 15K in 15. That's ridiculous. It should be 7500 like in MUT, FUT, & I think even in HUT. How are you gonna raise the price so much for a game that doesn't even have as much user base as those other sports games I mentioned? The AH is nearly dead and full of idiots posting even more ridiculous prices for cards. Like the regular gold Kobe I saw for 250K. Smh man that's just stupid.

I'd like to see some more regulation in the Auction House, for sure.

Klay Thompson and Hassan Whiteside are the featured players this week.



Funnily enough, Thompson's three point rating and overall rating are actually lower in his featured player card than they are in the current roster.

The discrepancy in ratings is interesting. It's clear that the roster for the regular game is completely independent from the Ultimate Team roster. Haven't really looked, but players who have improved their ratings this season might not have that carried over to UT

You can also face them in a Fantasy Challenge, which will be available until March 4th.

So I actually saved up the coins to get the throwback pack but it was gone and I got a breakaway pack instead. I was pretty disappointed with what I got so I've given up on ultimate team.

The best player I got in about 14 or 15 packs was Jamal Crawford at 85 overall and no legends. I got an 89 ibaka in a free all star pack and bought Damian Lillard for 27000 coins

Clyde is a repeat legend. Doing a quick Google search, I think he was first in packs in early November.

Andrew - I agree, they are tough to get. When there were Legend packs I bought quite a few; those were the best packs to buy IMO.

So he was...back by popular demand, I guess!

Towards the end of the season, I'd like them to bring out all the available Legends in packs, at a slightly reduced cost. Something to give people to play with during the offseason, in the lead up to NBA Live 16.

I agree completely on that. Let the people get the Legends they really want. Even the top stars are too rare right now IMO. Namely Durant & James.
