NBA Players that played from 1951-1999 don't have shooting ratings & tendencies due to the fact that there where no records kept of shooting range statistics before the 2000-01 NBA season. In the FAQ, you will see by recommendations for how to edit those players on the above spreadsheet. In the link below I've done a few of the great NBA/ABA players that you can use in your rosters by simply copying there ratings and plugging them into REDitor. I've made the players and listed the season statistics I used to rate the players. The season I choose for each player is based on what I thought where these players most efficient seasons. This list now contains 160 of some of the best NBA & ABA players.

Fifedawg, Welcome back man! Please finish your amazing work with 90's seasons, 80's seasons and etc. player ratings as you did from 00-01 season till present season. This could be really helpful and easier to add player ratings for those seasons players too.

Hey thanks Broken. Only problem with doing a spreadsheet for the era's before the 2000-01 season his just coming up with the Shot Ratings & Tendencies for those players that work with the game engine. I'm working on another spreadsheet at the moment by doing players from those era's but the problem is that I can only do one player at a time. What players are you looking for exactly?

Great, i'll wait for that. Just to make sure, my favorite era of seasons from 1989-90 season till 1999-00 season, can you make that kind of spreadsheet with all of those era's players?

I think what I'm gonna do is start doing players for the 1999 Season thru 1951 and do all the best NBA and ABA players first.

The rating are very special ... When i apply this rating scale, P.Mills had 77 Overall Rating Tony Parker had 76 !!!

Two things make Mills rate slightly ahead of Parker and that's his defense and 3 pt shooting. Those ratings, among some others, weigh heavy on a players overall rating in 2k for point guards. We both know that Parker is a better player than Mills based on his career numbers but when we break it down for this season you will see why they are very closely rated.

Look at Patty Mills numbers per 36 minutes vs Parker's for the 2013-14 season

As you can see Parker is a better playmaker and better % shooter than Mills, but Mills makes up for it with 3 pt accuracy, rebounding and defense. So as the numbers reflect, Mills would be very close to Tony Parker's productivity for this season if they both where given the same minutes per game.

What would probably work better, for a players overall rating standpoint, would be to take 3 year averages of every vital statistic and create a player from those numbers and you would most definitely see the difference in Parker and Mills but my goal here to accurately recreate the players statistics for each season using the 2k engine.

As far as both players are rated number wise, point guards are notoriously rated low compared to say Centers but don't be worried at all at these ratings because they have little to no effect on game play.

I do but it takes some hand work for seasons from 1999 season and older so what I have been doing is just creating some great older players and posting them to the first post in the thread which by the way needs updating. I'll be doing this sometime later this week. As for Coaching profiles here is the link on a formula on how to make Coach Profiles for any season

This ratings spreadsheet doesnt go all the way from A to Z. It stops in the S...Smiths.

Updated first post. Now there are 160 players listed from 1951-1999 that have complete ratings & tendencies. To input into your roster follow the instructions in the FAQ which you can also download.
