Classic College Hoops Rosters (4/18/2014)

All files for the most part have been completed. Now just the long process of getting teams implemented into a roster. Then some beta testing and then a release. The release will be 5 rosters in total all using the same files as the March Madness mod but to make this work I had to use a different logo file system and I will be changing some of the loading screens too. Thanks to everyone who has released and or helped out with the College mods this year! Everyone in the community has help make this possible.

This mod...is going to be a lot bigger than even I expected. Will require it's own mod folder, due to logo/portrait files being different plus others.

Rosters still need a lot of tweaking so get some realism. Will probably start doing some simulations in season mode to get the players to play with correct tendencies!

Once again all the credit goes to the guys who did all the fantastic work or the mod. I just love classic rosters and I know the team isn't planning on doing a lot of classic teams so that's where I come in!

Best game of 2K ever played. Down by 12 early in the 3rd the Wildcats come storming back and win on a pair of free throws by Solomon Hill with 4 seconds left. Stauskas couldn't hit the leaner to send it into overtime. I hope you guys will have as much fun as I am having with these rosters!

Newest project. Helping Royce White out and getting him back on the court...no one is judging his disabilities right now. Sorry for the crappy quality...but it's only royce white...

This is a very good idea, cant wait for this.

A little update...

I have been focusing on the 2011-2012 rosters at the moment and I have the following teams "alpha" completed(meaning players are there...rough ratings...not 100%)

Baylor (Best Baylor team ever in recent years)
UCONN (Drummond....for leftos)
Duke (My main reason for doing this...AUSTIN RIVERS!)
Florida (a Kenny Boynton cyberface would be amazing)
Iowa State (Royce White...yes)
Kansas (National Champ Runner Up)
Kentucky (The Champs...I made them too good I think...or maybe they are just that good?)
Miami (Found a bunch of cyber faces from last year...thanks to johnbuckeyefan...team has all real cyberfaces!)
Michigan St (Derrck Nix & Draymond Green...damn)
Missouri (Guard Heavy team..but damn they were good...Could use some help rating these guys to make them realistic)
North Carolina (Such a great team if you look back on it now)
Ohio State (Sullinger, Thomas, Buford...I hated this team with a passion in real life lol)
Syracuse (This team..needs rating adjustments a good scoop jardine cyber face...but I hate playing against that ZONE)

Indiana, San Diego State, Villanova, Cal, Iowa, Lousiville, Memphis, & Michigan will be next (plus any teams the might be released with the mod updated I want to see)

Also teams below were horrible...or lack cyberfaces and would require a lot of "lookalike" searching to make. But if someone wants them I will do them too sooner than later

2013 Roster will continue also and I will post updates on that later today! Thanks for the support and I want this to turn into a college UBR kinda...that's my goal

Just some roster previews from the 2011-2012 Roster. I'm thinking of releasing a beta to a few people to get some input on how the rosters play and possible rating/tendencies fixes. A lot of little things everywhere that need to be changed but this project is moving fast. I started on it Saturday night I believe.















Also have a handful of 2013 rosters done, and 1 2011 roster...Kyrie Irving in a Duke uniform I had to see again.

Once you finish these, I'd be happy to release them along with the 2014 NCAA March Madness Rosters. Looking good so far.

A few previews from Gonzaga/Kentucky 2013 rosters

man this is coming along nice and now really has some major potential now that the other college mod looks like is gonna bail again this yr. Im really down in the dumps and bothered that it looks like it will be cancelled but this thread right here can make the pain go away.

This has the potential to go real far. Seems like you have '13 and '12 just about done. And then it goes like this..

why not a 2011 roster.. hmm why '10 roster.. hmm ok im done with 2010.. ok just a few tweaks to make 2009.. so on and so on

I know it'll take awhile of course! just look at how long it took hawk23's Ultimate Base Roster to get to where it is now! (but with all the help he got from this fabulous community we now have 44+ plus seasons to play with if we want to!

Im not saying taking this thing to the friggin 70s lol not even the 80s. But if the 2000s can get knocked out what an accomplishment that would be!

Rayhoops Has an amazing mod from 2k12 which he is now currently bringing over to 2k14! College hoops 95. So 1995 is already done which is perfect cause it smack dead center of the 90s decade. So it wouldnt be crazy hard to take the 95 roster and go up to 96,97 etc.... And can also go down to 94,93, etc maybe till 1990

Im just saying this is how the Ultimate Base Roster started. Just takes one or two classic seasons to get the ball rolling then watch it become an absolute phenomenon before ur eyes.

If rayhoops made the 90s and you knocked out these 2000s gosh we'd have 20+ seasons of awesome college ball! Of course with help of the community. We dont need 100% accurate CFs. We can always find lookalikes. We would just need classic courts and jerseys.

Im just throwing this idea out there cause im a huge fan of the original Ult Base Roster for 2k12 and always wanted to see a college version of it. If you and rayhoops collab with bighort and the coomunity.. then this could turn into a beast

BaldyGotGame10, if you follow through with these, i would be happy to add some of the higher profile teams as Retros in the MM2K14 Mod, as well as, like I previously said, bundling together your Retro rosters with the big downloads.

I'm licking my chops at thought of early or mid-90s Iowa team...way way down the road I'm sure...just like ubr which started really small and grew to become greatest this mod has that potential...keep up the awesome work man this is great stuff!

I cant wait for this mod, I thought of something like this not long ago but thought i would be dreaming if something like this actually happened, it really does ease the pain of behinds big mod not possibly being realeased now in which im still at a loss for words with because i was really looking forward to that release but i feel like this mod and the march madness can do great things, the march madness mod is already the best college game i played with already so im grateful for what bighort and his team are doing for that mod, behinds mod was enticing to me because it had so many teams so i hope behindshadows at least releases the work he collected to someone else that contributed to that mod and maybe they can try and do something with it, its just a shame that so many could put that much work into a mod and 1 person wants to be done with it and poof the mod is gone.

Thank You guys for the all the support! I can currently get like 3 to 4 teams done tops in a day if everything goes perfect. Yesterday I knocked out 4 2013 teams and I will finish it first more than likely. Jumping around seems to make this take forever lol.

Sounds great to me! I have a huge passion for rosters and used to do them on dreamcast back in the day lol. Only thing that I need to work on it finding a way to covert rosters over to the new one you release faster. I know if I had full red mc that would help but at this point just to do the rosters I don't see the need to just by $20 of it, I want to buy the full when I actually need it!

ImAverageJoe is giving me something awesome for this and I hope the rest of the community can help make this the UBR of college hoops!

2011 Kansas Jayhawks with new Rating System 2.0


Just lost to the 2011 Texas team by 1...These rosters play soooo intense. Glad I figured out what the issue was. Tristan Thompson had 18 & 14, 12 in the 4th. The twins could not stop him at all!
