✪ Cam's Complete Roster Project ✪ BETA v0.5 Release

Sat Oct 12, 2013 1:41 am

Hey NLSC Fam,

With us not having a roster to use or at least a steady base roster for everyone to use for future rosters, and with me having a lot of time on my hands, I'm willing to put in the time and effort to create the most complete rosters to date. Much like Lakers92's NBA365 roster project I'll be updating multiple times daily and much like Med's famous rosters I want the equipment to be on point. My roster project will include the following:

~Equipment Edits
~Hex Edited Equipment Color
~Fixed Coach Profiles
~Fixed Player Tendencies
~Fixed Rotations
~Transactions
~Rating Updates
~Signature Shots
~Up to date 82 game association modes when the season begins (using the NBA Today) for those die-hard players

It would be possible to update also Euroleague teams?

Re: Cam's Complete Community Roster Project

Sat Oct 12, 2013 3:06 am

Will my interest be enough for you to finish the complete roster by days end? :D

It'll be nice to play with a roster where you don't have to fix the coach profiles yourself. It's just weird that with the roster update 2K provided they just get reset to 50 across the board.

I dont understand, community driven?
I want Lebron at 96 and Kobe at 90 and u will update every request even if its against your thoughts. The worst way to create accurate roster IMO.

Hey Cam,

I have great interest in your project! Your global compilations were a huge help and much appreciated and I would also love and appreciate a custom roster. Will your roster have hex edited team colors for accessories? (Ex. Knicks with white sleeves at home for team color 1 and blue leg sleeves (a la Melo) at home for team color 2 but black on the road) I've been looking for a custom roster with updated and accurate team colors so if your roster has that it'll be perfect but if not it'll still be a great roster!

That's yet to be determined, that would be something I'd do later on if I do include it in my rosters

Haha well I'm in the midst of editing my rosters as we speak, we'll see by days end if enough people want me to release (Y)

I think you misunderstood what I mean by community driven, I'm going to take things into account and make updates accordingly, moreso equipment edits and tendencies rather than ratings, I'll edit ratings to more of a definite nature and if a consensus feels things are out of whack then I'll make changes, but just a single request for a rating change wont cut it. By community driven I just mean I want a lot of feedback and I'll actually take things into account, rather than just releasing 1 roster with the same stuff for the whole year, I want to make a living roster as accurate as humanly possible that everyone can enjoy.

I'm glad you enjoy my globals! I won't be able to make accessory color edits until I find a roster editor for 2k14 that has the capability, but when it does come out I'll be sure to have accurate team colors

Sounds good Cam! Btw I found this recent post by seanbarkley on how to edit team colors for shoes accessories and headbands without a roster editor, idk if it'll be of any help but it seems like he got it work for the PC.
Hi guys,

I'm gonna use this 'til we don't have a good roster editor, so I leave you here the aligned code for if you want to hex edit shoe/team colors/HB color:

PC version: http://www.mediafire.com/?t39xzkbapotkdb7

Xbox 360 version: http://www.mediafire.com/?i7i74fsb3xl6ehl

As you can see in the example, it's just aligned hex code that you can easily edit as we did a couple of years ago, and then put it back in the game with a few easy steps.

The file consists of a .docx file with 16 pages (19 for xbox) of aligned code which include: practice, current, classic teams and euroleague team uniforms for you to edit. In the file (as you can see in the example, every uniform shoe color/team 1 color/team 2 color/HB color is underlined to make your edits easier (in case of xbox file just the first 4 uniforms are underlined, but it won't be hard to follow the pattern). 1st of all you will find practice uniforms (2 per team - 60), and after that cuurent uniforms which follow this order:

76ers (13 uniforms), Bobcats (7), Bucks (9), Bulls (6), Cavs (16), Celtics (4), Clippers (9), Grizzlies (6), Hawks (11), Heat (9), Jazz (11), Kings (11), Knicks (8), Lakers (10), Magic (9), Mavs (6), Nets (5), Nuggets (8), Pacers (9), Pelicans (2), Pistons (9), Raptors (8), Rockets (8), Spurs (5), Suns (9), Thunder (3), T'Wolves (8), Blazers (8), Warriors (12) and Wizards (9).

Once you edit all the stuff you want, this are the steps for putting it back in the .ROS file:

1. select the whole edited string, copy it, paste it in this page (http://redir.dasumo.com/hex/) in the hexadecimal box, press translate.

2. Copy the whole string that appears in the "binario" box and paste it in a word file

3. Add 6 "0"s at the beginning of the new binary doc you just pasted (just one "0" if it is an xbox 360 file), (example: 0000000000000011111111111) and delete the last 6 "0s" of the same file (delete just the last "0" if it is an xbox 360 file) (example: 00000000000000) and copy it again.

4. Paste it in the "binario" box and press translate

5. Copy the string that appears in the haxadecimal box and paste it in the hex editor (replacing the existing code) around the offset (17A6CE for PC) (18D7FD for 360 - example in post #4) exactly in the offset marked in the example (replacement has to start exactly in the "00" offset):

NOTE:This roster file examples are from the PC version, take a look at post #4 if work on a 360 roster

7. Checksum your file

6. Done. Everything is edited and aligned back to the way it was previosly.

Lastly, I'd like to ask you guys for help, because even though I could find stuff in the string I still couldn't figure out where things like team codes or sock color are now. I'm sure that with your help we'll find this soon!

Ask here if you have doubts!

That's awesome! I'm really looking forward to trying it out. And considering the amazing work you've done already on your globals, I have a feeling this will be a very good roster. :applaud:

Sup Cam,

I've been making rosters and hex editing accessory colors, shoes and other data in xbox. Search @ Operation Sports if you wanna see what I do. This is my 1st year on PC, so if you want my help I can be part of the project. Just lemme know.

There's no problem with shoes/accessory colors, it's a quite easy thing to do.

btw, what's going on with shoes this year? It's weird we don't have any mod yet right?

Sean my brotha I would love it if you could do the accessory/shoe color edits for my roster, since you're experienced with it and I've seen your past work on OS and your attention to detail, I think we can collab and make a monster PC roster if you're up for it!

Awesome man! I'll be sure to send you a beta version of the roster ASAP, probably after I finish equipment edits

Anyone that's willing to help with this roster can receive a beta version, so as a community we can make this perfect (Y)

my to do list is:
~Equipment
~Position Edits
~Sig Shots based off of https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... ring#gid=3 from OS (If I can get a volunteer to do them they can get a beta version as well)
~Rotations (mainly a rough depth chart based off of Rotoworld's updated depth charts)
~Coach Profiles

Beta Release to the community?
___________________
~Tendencies (Probably going to base them from Med's 2k13 Roster or if anyone as a better resource be sure to let me know)
~Attributes (I'm hoping to get a formula such as Med's for proper ratings, and since the season hasn't started to see players' performance I don't want to go crazy with this yet)

Sounds good, I hope more are interested, a lot of work will be going into these with great quality guaranteed :D

Hey, let me know what you need help with and I'll do my best to help out! It's weekend, so I've got some free time on my hands.

Most of all I'm used to equipment (of course), rotations and positions. Can do anything (or everything).

Sounds good man, if you could do signature shots that'd be great, another helping hand doesn't hurt (Y)

That's awesome bro, would you be cool with me sending you the base of what I have thusfar (mostly transactions) and you work your magic? Do however much you're willing and able to do and just let me know when you're done and I'll take over from there :D I'll PM you with the roster

Isn'i it too soon yet? I mean, when I work in accessories/shoes or rotations I usually need feedback and data. Pages like 82 games, rotoworld or gettyimages are my main source and I need updated info (from preseason and even the beginning of the season) to make my edits the more lifelike possible.

This is just a thought, but wouldn't it be a good idea to get started and do what you can do right now so you'll have less to do once the season starts? Now I'm not really aware if there is anything you can do right now, so if you can't really do anything, forget I said anything!

Well thus far I've been doing accessories based off of espn.com and going player by player in the photo section with each player's preseason gear and if there are any blaring changes that need to be made I'll go from there. I guess what I mainly would need at this moment is accessory colors edited like how you detailed in your tutorial. I've been going to rotoworld and espn.com for position updates, and just a rough depth chart (injuries aside) from rotoworld is all that is possible at this moment. I'm hoping for this to be a living roster so we can edit it as we go, I don't mind making various edits as time progresses, just wanted to get a jump start (Y)

Sorry for such a late response guys, some stuff came up and delayed my work, but I've got the next 6-8 hours that I can work on the roster to get a good base started. Sean, let me know if you're willing to do the general accessory colors for the teams
