Hi all,
Can anybody help? I can't seem to open NBA 2K14 models in blender 2.82, and I am trying to experiment with a few things. Is there an updated plugin?
I have the plugin that was for 2.69 from the downloads section.

I was able to update the script for 2.79 a few months back. Unfortunately, my updated script doesn't work for 2.8 because there have been major changes in Blender's Python API. I have very little knowledge in programming, much less in Python language so I can't guarantee anything.

Thanks for the info. Can you send that 2.79 plugin over?
I wanted to try it will version 2.82 because of a possible new way of modding these older games, a new way of making faces. I wanted to test some things out. Maybe someone has a plugin for 2.82 that hasn't spoken up yet.

Dee4three are you going to try to convert some of the 2K14 face to 2K20?

I want to try both ways. 2K14 to 2K20 and 2K20 to 2K14. But I need that plugin to work for 2.82.

Guys, maybe I misunderstood you, but if you just want to use the tools of other versions of Blender, just open the object in the lower version and use the ctrl+c key combination to transfer it to 2.82. And after all the manipulations, return the object back in the same way and export it to n2km. I downloaded version 2.82 and everything worked out.

Wow thanks it works. But I have one problem ... Example the headshape is not properly aligned when I import back to iff files. But in blender it properly aligned. Its weird.

No problems) I only tried to move the object from one Blender to another, then moved a few points and returned it back with the import to iff, and visually everything was fine and without errors. If you didn't change the original values:

I don't even know what's wrong.

The only explanation for this is that you don't copy anything. In the previous version of the program, leave everything that you want to transfer, then select it (the A key) and only then copy and paste.

after try still not working

It works, I have been doing it with many different conversions.
Copying a model from one version of blender to another is really easy, I have been doing it from 2.72 and 2.79 to 2.82. As he says, selecting the model using the A key, followed up hitting ctl C on the keyboard, and ctl V to paste in 2.82.
Here is a video of me demonstrating how to do it (with commentary)

I mean, you can't have the model convert over, but with enough tweaking you can get a next gen texture to work on a 2K14 model (Like I did with Clyde Drexler)
As far as 2K10 to 2K14, I have not tried. But 2K11 to 2K14 did work (For the model and texture)

That's from NBA 2K21 next gen. But yes, that face is the same model/texture as 2K21 for PC. I am sure it could be converted to 2K14 by reworking the texture and the model slightly.
But honestly, I am not interested in doing that right now. Maybe someone else in this section would like to attempt 2K21 to 2K14 conversions.

It doesn't work that way.
You need to use the Jordan next gen texture, and line it up in photoshop or paint.net to a 2K14 texture (eyes, nose, mouth, ears in the same spots, etc)
Followed by loading the newly converted texture onto the existing 2K14 model, and editing the model accordingly if need be.
That is how I got the Drexler from next gen into 2K14 (it's not perfect, but it was good enough for a release, and where it resembles the next gen version)
