The reason why the trainer may be working buggy in some cases, is because those who are constantly connected to the 2k servers, will constantly be receiving new updates. These updates will be stored in your "Online Data" folder under C:\Users\(Useraccount)\AppData\Roaming\2K Sports\NBA 2k14. These updates have obviously changed several memory addresses and have resulted in making the tool somewhat buggy.
This has been hinted before in this thread, but If you'd like to enjoy all the features of the trainer, make sure you're not connected to the servers and/or completely remove the Online Data folder.
I'll update the first post with this piece of information.
Holy crap this actually worked. Thanks so much. Just one question though, the only thing I did was lock in my rotation for My Career at 36 minutes. If I put the Online Data folder in and activate the online account again, will it stay the same?

My Online Data Folder is completely empty, yet I am still getting the bug.

Like I said, you also have to make sure you're not connected to the 2k servers. Otherwise, the 'Online Data' folder will be synced over and over again.
Using this method the tool's worked properly for me and several others.
