Great idea. I'm sure he won't mind. I'll ask.

It's much more realistic IMO (No offense to the creator of the CF already ingame)

Also, I think optional files etc should just be in one seperate folder as appose to tons of smaller folders, too make it more newbie friendly. It was a paint to try and install the MBL because it was separated like that. Advise, or perhaps even say that JGSME is required... that could save a lot of headaches

I have another idea as well - have the mod distributed as a .torrent file, similar to Linux distros and other PC gaming mods

I think that would be the best bet, too. One huge Essentials file, then update files as needed.
I'll have to think about the optional files, because I really want to give people the option of only installing what they want. My goal when I started this was to overwrite as little as humanly possible. I am considering even only linking to exrxixxx's scoreboard, for example, rather than including it as part of the overwrite files. We'll see, though. I could certainly just go with the "You're either okay with overwriting your NBA files, or you aren't." route as well.
Also, whenever what you're working on is ready, shoot it over to me.

me shoe mod(rgb version) is non-overwrite files...
I've been warned about crashing issues. That was my only worry. Otherwise it's easy enough to just re-name everything from team_022 to team_122, or team_222, or whatever. If I can get confirmation that this is the case, I will re-name all the files, fix the roster, and have even more that doesn't overwrite...RICH72601 wrote:bigh0rt, if you make a new GID file for any team, you just have to make sure you have the team.iff file with the same number, then you won't have to worry about overwriting anything. I'll take an existing team.iff file, rename it to my new GID number, then do whatever I want specifically for that team. If you didn't have the team.iff file, that's when you see the all-pink untextured crowd.
