here's my spec :
win 7
intel core 2duo E7400 @2.80Ghz
6Go RAM
geforce GTX260
I run the game 1920x1080 everything MAX, but I can't go up to 60 FPS, fraps shows 30-40 fps only, I don't know why.
Even if I lower the settings it stays at 30-40 FPS
I tried everything you told before but it doesn't work at all :(

Over clock. I used to have a core 2 duo e6750 @3.2 ghz with 4gb ram and a radeon 4850 running the 2k11 at max except crowd detail at medium and I getting 50-60 fps. Your processor and video card are both better than what I had.

overclocking that's a thing I don't really know how to do it, too scared to burn the hardware ..

Guys please help me out ...
Processor : AMD Athlon x2 260 3.2GHz
RAM : 6GB
Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit
Video Card : AMD Radeon HD6770 GDDR5 1GB

I got 51fps on video benchmarking with tight jersey mod on low player settings... Smooth.
But I feel like I want to play on high player settings because I want the jersey movements.
When i turn it to high player settings, I get fps like 30 only. but, 30 is okay, i still can play it.
But the problem is, It will comes up some spike lags. My english is not really good i don't know how to explain but,
It's like, smooth for 2 seconds, then lag for 1-2 seconds, repeatedly .. I don't know what problem I'm having.

I can play Dota2 and HON for max settings without lags with anti-aliasing 4x.
I can also play Need For Speed Most Wanted without lags on high settings... What problem I'm having?

I actually couldn't even run 2k14 before the update, so it's most likely something else.

The maxtex setting is already at it's highest setting and does nothing when increased.

You've also got the CPU threads wrong. You DO NOT want to put your number in every line. The game is optimised to use a separate thread for each task. What you've suggested just defeats the purpose of your high end CPU.

Then other things like turning on the intel gpu setting simply because you see HDR...

This guy is right.
Also, the thing about GPU threads being 5 because you're using GDDR5 has no correlation to each other. Trust me, I know what I'm talking about. I suggest leaving the settings as they were.

Uninstall current graphics drivers. Install latest Nvidia drivers from their official website.

Your GPU is to weak, that GPU is not made for gaming!?

Yeah, and its definitely a bottleneck to his processor.

thing is, 2K14 mainly runs on the CPU, unlike a lot of PC games. doubt he'd be getting such low FPS with his set-up because of his GPU. Def a driver issue, from what I can tell.

Somewhat truth, it does use a bit of CPU but not any more than other "normal" games (BF4, Total War, etc, are even more CPU active), but every game depends on the graphic card, especialy on higher resolution, and his graphic card is made just to "provide picture", maybe HD video or something like that, but no games, or minimal resolution and minimal setting would work but i doubt it!?

Hy my friends!

I've a new PC!

windows 8.1
CPU: Intel Core i5-4200M @2.50Ghz
Memory: 8Gb RAM
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX765M / 2Gb
LCD : 15"6 FHD, 1920x1080

I run the game 1920x1080, but I can't go up to 60 fps! Fraps shows 17-20 fps only, I don't know why.

With my old PC the settings it stays at 30-35 FPS

And my config is alright!

Drop your resolution to 1366x768 and see what the framerate is like.

I'm a nOOb to pc gaming - what specs should I be looking at, minimum, to play this comfortably?

Right now I have:

8Gb Ram
1TB hard drive
AMD A8-4555m APU (1.6 ghz, 4MB Cache)
AMD Radeon HD 7600G

Is that a weak set up, as 2k14 doesn't seem to run very well..... :?:

You have higher specs than I have but I run every game above 60fps with ithe settings on ultra/high.

Re: Better Performance For NBA 2K14

Your video card is comparable to an Intel hd 4000 which is an integrated processor and doesn't have a high performance. Since that is a laptop, I don't think you can replace it with a better video card, but if you can, you would need to replace it to run 2k14 on max settings.

Click the start menu on your desktop, then right click "my computer" and click properties.

Thanks for the info.

Any rough ideas at what specs I should be looking at to play this game comfortably? (Might need it in layman's terms as I'm a nOOb in terms of PC play)
