Hey guys, can you help me with something? I noticed that whenever I start MyCareer or Association, player ages advance by 1. I don't know why this happens and I'm just wondering if this also happens to you guys, take a look:

Odd...I'm guessing if you guys aren't experiencing this issue, I'm going to pinpoint this to UBR...

This is because the system takes the ages at the start of the 2013-2014 season, so the ages are actually based on their ages back in the offseason in 2013 (remember NBA 2K14 was released in 2013). If a roster has a 2015-2016 NBA schedule, the ages will be adjusted 2 years to what will be their age at the start of the 2015-2016 season.

probably an error on my part. I'll see if Gritter and Grinder's still active so he can fix it since it was his idea.

ok. so the deal is, the roster was edited to have their current ages. the game reads them as being in 2013, so all their birth years were bumped back two years. but for some reason the association mode with this roster has been set to register as starting in 2014, so it moves all their ages up one. i would suggest editing it back to the 2013-14 season so the ages stay consistent from roster to association mode. that's what they did with UBR (does that mean i've stolen this idea.. ) because you cant have the ages right in both the roster and the association mode if you have the schedule set to anything other than 2013-14. you can still have the 2015-16 schedule, it just has to say "2013-14".

no-one in the NLSC community has found a way to make the schedule say "2015" and keep the ages accurate in both association and when using the roster outside of these game modes. if you can just overlook the fact that it says "2013" then i assure you everything else is accurate. UBR does this the same way as it is the most efficient and accurate way to do the ages and scheduling. just pretend it says "2015." imo a minor detail that can easily be ignored as it has no affect on gameplay in association mode.

2. if these crashes are happening with more than one person it could have to do with my schedule modification, in which case, i'll re-evaluate the changes and either find out how to fix it or reassess the pros and cons of age accuracy throughout all game modes. however, it is MUCH more likely this is either an isolate incident or something that Kevin did and has nothing to do with the schedule modification. try reinstalling all parts in order. and if you've previously had other mods on your version of 2k and still have some of theie files floating around in your 2k folder it might help to delete the folder and reinstall 2k, then reinstall all parts of this mod in order, so your 2k folder will be purged of all excess mod files.
edit: in the meantime i will look at the roster again and see if there's anything i missed in changing the schedule.

John, i just checked again. no irregularities in the schedule. either you need to reinstall the parts or kevin has a bug needing fixing. but i also looked to see if there's any non-schedule-related bugs that would cause this and i didnt find anything. but i also can't figure out why my mycareer crashed either. im sure kev will take a look.

Please fix the 'years pro' of some players like Lillard and Mason Plumlee. Lillard is only 2 years pro and Plumlee is 1. There may be others who have incorrect years pro. Thanks in advance.

enjoying so much playing nba 2k14 again since your roster..

some questions about the gameplay. I use albys latest sliders since you said your player tendencies are based on the same method as his roster or ?
These sliders are called albys settings in his latest roster.


the biggest problem i encounter is a lack of three point shooting of the oppenent. Played the Spurs on superstar level and the only shot 4 three point shots in the entire first half. these are actually for me the only things to be solved gameplaywise to make it perfect.

Please fix the 'years pro' of some players like Lillard and Mason Plumlee. Lillard is only 2 years pro and Plumlee is 1. There may be others who have incorrect years pro. Thanks in advance.

I downloaded all the files in OP. Do I install in the order outlined in the OP or can I bypass this process and install the most recent files?

These sliders are called albys settings in his latest roster.


the biggest problem i encounter is a lack of three point shooting of the oppenent. Played the Spurs on superstar level and the only shot 4 three point shots in the entire first half. Have you tried using my sliders? I did base the player tendencies from his roster but JEDL and me have edited it a hundred times already. Try my sliders.
