can you explain me that "3d lines" part? what's the difference between regular court made, for exampe, by mythbuster and this with 3d lines?

MadbaLL, The previous courts that I made a while back were all one textured courts with painted lines. People had told me that they didn't want to use my courts because of the painted lines, and that I should make them with 3D Lines. So that's why I titled them 3D lined courts, incase others who never used my courts for the same reason know that I've changed to the 3D Lined method Not all of Myth's have 3D lines either.

if may give feedback, but why don't you use real life photos of each court when making it instead of listening what each of us say? because when someone say "make it bigger" you don't know how much bigger you need to make it. just use real life court photo to compare all dimensions and proportions.

MadbaLL, I obviously do use real life photos to make the courts, but I want to hear peoples opinions aswell. Each teams court doesnt look exactly the same in every photo you see out there, so people will have different opinions on colours etc.

i can agree that color may be little different for each user and on each photo (depending on lightning, etc.) but proportions and dimensions, for example of center logo, must be the same on every photo and no matter what users say. you must agree with this

It's not like I am able to rip courts from real life and put them in the game, I have to make the texture from nothing for each one, so I'm so, so sorry if the proportions aren't exact. kahoona, bro, you dont understand what we're trying to tell you and ofc you dont have to listen to this. I have no idea how Rockets court will look in next season, maybe size of your logo is ok, idk. Like i said in my thread, you must be sure what you are doing, situation when some random dude(even you Kevin) came in and post: make the logo bigger and you change your mind and agree with him is not a good way to make good realistic courts. Ofc if you want to create fictional courts there is no problem at all. But man believe me, some modders like me, visiting your thread with full believe in you, i dont have time to check courts on photos because i have spreadsheet with 15k players. I want to visit your thread and be sure about dimensions and propotions and i was sure until your post when you agreed to change size of the logo. It can be three things here, you didnt work with real photo when you were creating Rockets logo or you forgot to change size of this logo or the size is real. Dont take things personal, we only trying to advice, not the method, not the colours but the way of thinking about modding. Dont listen to people, do your job because there will be 31283290482 opinions. Really looking forward for your next releases, i think i have all your releases in use, great job.

That's why they are called feedbacks. It's OP's decision if they want to implement the things that we want them to change. It's not like we are forcing them to do it against their will.

Also, look at the photo of the houston rockets court and you should definitely see that the logo in kahoona's version is a little bit smaller than the actual. Oh and correction on my post, it should be longer, not bigger.

i was trying to tell you the same thing @skoadam wrote, just in a different way. all we wanted to say is that dimensions and proportions of logos should be based on real life pictures, the way you see it, not on what each user tells you.

skoadam, I understand what you guys are saying. I agreed with Kevin that the logo should be a bit bigger than what it was in my preview, and would have done the same if madbaLL or anyone else said the same thing. But it felt like madbaLL was saying 'I don't look at, and use pictures of real courts' whilst I am making them. There are so many details that I try to get right, and so sometimes I haven't got them down perfectly in the preview stage. There have been releases of my courts that I haven't needed feedback, because I have been sure of what I am doing. Kevin told me to make the logo bigger. I didn't judge whether I would be changing with the court just because he said to make it bigger, when I saw his comment I looked at my screenshot in comparison to a real photo and saw that I should make it slightly bigger. Whereas if I hadn't have asked for feedback I probably wouldn't have noticed it, especially since it only needs to be marginally bigger. I didn't get mad at Kevin because he was giving me straight up feedback, if I disagreed with him I would have said I did. MadbaLL on the other hand started saying, "Why don't you use real life photos of the courts?", and to say that made me a bit angry, because I clearly do use real photos, but sometimes it is hard to make things look like their real life counter-parts, especially in the preview stage. Its almost unheard of to find birds eye view photos of the real courts, they are all from broadcast angles. So if I'm making textures that are from birds eye view, the proportions can't be exact. Hence why I said he is completely welcome to try and make accurate, high quality courts himself.

On a lighter note, I am glad to hear when anyone uses my courts. That is the goal when releasing mods to the community. I want people to be sure that my courts look good and are accurate in color and proportion to the real thing, so sometimes I need a bit of help with that.
