on Free Version, you can edit only the Players Tab..
if you want to edit other tabs and have other RED MC features, you have to make an order, tick the tabs/features you want to buy, and pay thru paypal..

I have RED Modding Center v. 2.0 and NBA 2K14 Steam version. I cannot seem to open or find any sort of supported file with REDMC.

Nothing in the following folders:

C:\Users\mypc\AppData\Roaming\2K Sports\NBA 2K14
And
D:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\NBA2K14

I am trying to edit player ages which would normally be found in the roster file.

Hi JaoSming

That is the admin. BTW the roster.iff file is in my D:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\NBA2K14 and the C:\Users\Campbell\AppData\Roaming\2K Sports\NBA 2K14\Online Data\downloads folder

Red MC just cannot seem to find any supported file/roster file :(

this tool cant edit Roster.iff file, you must look for Roster.ros file on your Saves Folder..

Do you plan on trying out a reditor for the next gen version of 2K?

Give me 2 good reasons I should get this just to mod a 30$ game and one guy makes a profit off it.

Vlad, could you please tell me what are the changes made for 2K13 version according to previous v1.2.4 REditor release?

It exists, it lets you do pretty much anything you could want to the rosters

If you want to hear from Vlad, me, and Andrew as to why this is allowed in a community that doesn't allow charging for patches, http://www.nba-live.com/nlsc-podcast-episode-57/ we cover it starting around 10:00 iirc.

If you want an alternative https://github.com/leftos/nba-2k13-roster-editor can be updated to 2K14 but no one has taken it on because of how difficult the save format is.

No one is forcing you to get it, you do not need it to enjoy any of the patches people make with it, and many of the common functions this tool does can be performed through hex editing, in-game roster management, or with the Fantasy Trainer.

Can someone please tell me how to remove the hot/cold (red/green) arrows from attribute ratings?

I get it yearly because I really enjoy editing rosters. Red MC is the most consistently bug-free, best-editing format because everything is in tables.

Things are more easily, readily accessible than is in the Chinese trainers. You can seamlessly change player names, add new players by adding a new row -- many things you couldn't do otherwise as quickly in the Chinese trainer. Additionally, everything is originally in English and generally pretty easy to understand.

You can also edit jerseys, schedules, revamp an entire team (think Bobcats to Hornets), change shoes, contracts, etc.

I will agree though that the $30 edition really isn't for everyone. But for someone who is very meticulous about roster editing (think NBA365), it really assists in roster editing.

On a side note, I hope my license comes soon!

Vlad already replied to you about this
Vl@d Zola Jr. wrote:You can purchase Modder's Interfaces license, open Global Editor, select IsFA and make it set 1 to every player in that column. Or copy-paste the whole column into Excel and do some machinations there.
Anyway, the maximum total number of free agents per file is 1000, and this is the limit you can't bypass unfortunately.

What are you trying to accomplish by placing all players in the free agents pool?

A new version is up.
It is recommended to upgrade, especially if you had problems with registration.

I'll answer your Qs in a while.

Can i edit draft classes using this?

Not with 2.0.1. Probably in future.

Is it possible to edit the -1 +1 number beside the overall rating?

No. I believe, it is calculated by the game on the fly, based on injuries, player morale, team chemistry and other factors.

What's the difference for the free and the not free version ?

Try
C:\Users\Campbell\AppData\Roaming\2K Sports\NBA 2K14\Saves
or just
%APPDATA%\2K Sports\NBA 2K14\Saves

Once we can decrypt and move next gen files around with no problems, then i'll take a look.

Vlad, could you please tell me what are the changes made for 2K13 version according to previous v1.2.4 REditor release?

Several minor tweaks for MyFriend Panel; aslo a save glitch-prevention fix (the glitch has never taken place for 2K13, but anyway). A small bug with using Dynamic Linkage on colors fixed.

Can someone please tell me how to remove the hot/cold (red/green) arrows from attribute ratings?

The answer is in the beginning of this message. If you want to only remove the graphics, then you should take a look on texture editing (IFF files); but this won't remove the temp ratings boosts/decreases.

Sir, I e-mailed you.

I guess I could just ask for an archive file with REDitor (not the installation) on here?

Yes, of course. I'm happy to know, you're enjoying it already. Will update my installation system some time soon, so there won't be any problem with Windows 8.1 for future versions.

I will agree though that the $30 edition really isn't for everyone.

That's why it allows one to pick only those licenses, he needs, each of which isn't that very expensive.
Thank you for the detailed review!
On a side note, a license should already be in your inbox (or maybe in Spam :D ).
