[Chinese] Fantasy Star Trainer by Aleczou(updated to v1.3)

Unfortunately, I can't translate gibberish, and since I can't run it with the Chinese (Simplified) locale to show the Chinese characters, I can't translate anything beyond the 1st screen.

If someone can get it running with the right locale and can take screenshots of each page (saved as .png's, please. no compression will make it easier), I can work from that.

Otherwise, I can't translate dick.

Changing your system locale to Chinese (even if just temporarily) will make the Chinese characters appear. I've done this on two different systems, running Windows 7 Ultimate and Windows 7 Home Premium and had success. That should help you get underway.

Oh yeaaaaaahhh, I *totally* forgot about that after my getting my new HD & OS. I guess I didn't notice the language bar wasn't on my taskbar anymore...

I'll try to do that tomorrow (got a bunch of stuff going and don't wanna reboot, plus I gotta get to sleep).

EDIT: Side-note: The Language Bar is input-method-specific, so it doesn't change your system locale, and is therefore useless for this case. Gotta change the System Locale.

Does anyone have any duplication trouble with this on MyCareer when you're switching players from one team to another? So far my whole Cavalier team got duplicated and the Dallas Maverick team doesn't exist anymore (it just displays as ??Z?).

Anyone know how to prevent duplication or delete the dups?

The duplication problem when switching players from one team to another is a known issue and there's no fix for it (yet). Things like teams disappearing and entire teams being 'cloned' are bound to happen. I switched teams right after I got drafted and everything is working fine. I've had it go wrong, the entire schedule just disappeared and it simmed to the playoffs with 3 games played on the season. Just load your backup file and try again!

• Setup error (if you fail)
• Main home screen (with NavBar buttons, application name, version ID, and 2 top-bar options)

Individual image links may change (as I rename/edit some translations), so instead, I will link you to the gallery.

In the gallery, the images appear in the order you would see them, starting with the setup screen you get on the very first time you boot the trainer.
Subsequent error messages (which you may not ever see if you did everything right) will be the next images, so they may be screens you've never encountered (hopefully).
You can move between images just with your arrow keys, or click on one to see the next.

Make sure to read the image titles and descriptions if you get lost.

I'm going to translate more in a bit, but I have "real" work to do for now.

I'm pretty sure that the first one is thin, second one is normal, third one is obese, fourth one is muscular. It's possible that the 3rd and 4th are switched around, but that's easy to test yourself.

Yes, we've always been able to do that! All you have to do is use the tool/trainer to make the changes you desire, and then simply save the roster (or Association or MyCareer etc.)

Unfortunately I undertook the next screen without thoroughly sifting through and making a checklist of work that's already been done.
I found TGsoGood's work on this section of the trainer, and rather than figure out the 2 or 3 that I wasn't 100% on, I pretty much just cheated off him to confirm those annoying couple of fields.

That being said, credit for some of these goes to TGsoGood.

I plan to use both of the already done pieces' info moving forward in making my little gallery, if only to speed up the process.

Simply run the trainer, and have a look at the image below. And for the people who are thinking "But, I don't see 'playertype' anywhere!"... It's labeled as the number 4, which ironically is also highlighted.

Yeah, the first 6 of that second column all can be translated to "play type"...I got the specific stuff nailed down if you wanna check the gallery.

Okay, got the second tab done faster than I thought (before falling asleep), with MOST of the decoding already done by TGsoGood before me.

Of the 28 text fields, 23 were first translated by TGsoGood (24 actually, but 1, CF ID, was labeled incorrectly).
That's 82% of the hard work.
His effort made this WAAAAAAY faster, and he's the reason that I can post this tonight, instead of having to finish up tomorrow afternoon/evening. He basically bought you 24 hours!

The next 2 (Statistics and Attributes) shouldn't take very long at all. Stats is straight-forward, and Attributes only has 5 non-translated strings (because spartanflame did alllll the others already).

EDIT: Before I go to bed and forget...

"Name Abbr." is how the player's first name will be abbreviated when viewed in a list (as in "J. Richardson").
There are 4 options: "1 letter" (default), "2 letters", "3 letters", and "display full name".
It seems to always have the "1 letter" option picked, even if it's a player who has more (like J.J. Redick, Markieff Morris, etc.).
Changing it *does* work, though.
I tested it, and sure enough it squeezed "Michael Carter-Williams" on to that single line.

No, this isn't an actual roster editor. As the title suggest, it's more like a trainer.

Alright, got the third ("Statistics") and fourth ("Attributes") tabs done.
I also edited the 2nd tab to give translations of all the options (numbered as well), so we don't need anymore requests for help with Body Type, Name Abbreviation, or Name Order.

While Stats & options was my work, Attributes was ALL spartanflame's hard work. I only had to translate the 2 column titles, which were (guess what?) "Attributes" and "Signature Skills" (shocker!).

UPDATE:
• Translated "Statistics", added spartanflame's decoding of "Attributes", added translations to 3 options of "Appearance" (Name Abbr., Name Order, Body Type)

I've also translated all the options for "Injury Days" (which will become "Injury Length"), and "Play Style" (and therefore "Position"), but those 2 lists have over 70 options between them, and that would make one HUGE .jpeg, so I'm gonna need to find another way.

I'm not sure if I should continue in order (with Tendencies, Hot Zones, Signature, and Contract), or just get all the tab names and sub-menu titles translated first. Any requests?

EDIT: I think I should start my own release/preview thread for this; it's gonna get tedious pretty quick, and I'm hardly done with the translations. Plus, it means PeoplesChamp doesn't have to keep checking in for my spotty postings.

Hi guys. Ok, I've managed to get the trainer to load up. I have a few questions though.

When I change my players attributes to all 99, it does not reflect on the player that I am creating for mycareer. Is it supposed to be like that?

When I start the rookie showcase, it's fine at the start. Then all of a sudden it slows down and freezes. Has anyone experienced this? If so, how do I fix it?
