Ultimate Fictional Cyberface Project (WIP) (3/22 Update!)

I ask first and foremost that you please read the entire thread before commenting. Let me know which CF is your favorite, what you think overall of my work, and if I should eventually release these to the public. Thanks.

Hey forums, so the aspect of modding I really enjoy is making fictional cyberfaces. It's something I've been doing for a while and I'm at a point where I have enough to put out a draft class, although that is still far off due to ratings and tendencies and whatnot. My method of making fictional cyberfaces is different from most though. For starters, the face texture used on them is simply recycled from another NBA/Euroleague player, but I modify the headshape and the hair so much that it's typically hard to tell. Also, as this is a WIP, I've simply recycled the tattoos as well but in the future I may change them. Some CFs are also having issues with the lips and teeth when they open their mouth that I'm sorting out. Anyways, onto the faces themselves.

That Andre Dawkins is amazing I love using Fictional's for MC and such I hope you release these soon.

You should definitely continue working on this. There are a ton of possible applications for these, including the High School Hoops Mod, or even scrub players or guys on weaker teams in the NCAA mod, potentially. It all beats having CAP faces.

Chiming in to let it be known that this thread isn't dead and I have something like 35 fictionals I have made in my free time, that I will slowly start to put up in the coming days. I'll also eventually put the 4 in the OP up for release. College and personal life has definitely limited my time however I'm still going strong.

Dennard has too big of a nose and lips IMO but the texture is perfect, on the other hand if you tried to make the nose and lips finer, it'll look like Drummond. Georgios looks like an enforcer inside the paint.

If you're accepting request, can you do one with a Josh McRoberts hair? (the current long hair one but with a tweaked face of course).

And heck yeah, you should release them.

I originally had Dennard with a smaller set of nose and lips, but as you pointed out when he was like that he bore too much resemblance to Andre Drummond for me, even though hilariously enough neither his texture nor headshape come from Drummond. So I made some alterations to make him look more distinct, when I'm done with some other stuff though I may go back and clean him up.

I can certainly do a CF with that kind of hairstyle however you'll have to bare with me because cyberfaces with 3d hair (such as Claude Giroud in the OP who uses Pau Gasol's hair dyed black but borrows his headshape from someone else) take a little more effort and time. Generally speaking if I make a draft class I have the guys with 3d hair made last.

release pls, maybe you can use a thomas robinson headshape on Dennard, well just an idea

Take a close look at this picture and focus on the mouth. Notice the "hole" in the open mouth that allows you to see through to his jersey? How do I get rid of that? I've played around in blender and adjusted the size and position of the inside of the mouth/teeth/tongue but to no avail. Any more experienced CF creators with incite would be appreciated.

I appreciate the "constructive criticism" and will respond by telling you that you don't have to download any of the content I put out. And that is very big talk coming from someone who to my knowledge has contributed virtually nothing to this board and spends the bulk of their time taking other people's work.

The only way I can think of is too make the teeth closer to the inner mouth.

Just play around with the inner mouth. That hole is cause by having your inner mouth too small relative to the mouth itself. If that doesn't fix it, you might have to move some of the vertices around.

As for the faces, I think they're a little bit too animated, they're a good start, but making the parts less exaggerated should help. ie: Dennard's nose, Georgios's mouth, Claude's jaw/chin, Nate's head (plus make sure to match the head's color to the arms), Danny and Andre are the types of faces you should go for, but Andre's nose is a bit too bent at the tip, and Danny could still use some work. Keep up the good work!
