2014-2015-2016 draft class - Need your help!

Postby mauroth on Tue Oct 29, 2013 4:50 pm

Hi everybody,

probably someone of you already remember my name because of the draft classes I made in cooperation with Albys for NBA 2k13.
Currently in 2k13 we released 2014, 2015 and 2016. Each one features more than 60 players (even the 2016!!!), all with highly accurate ratings, bios, cyberfaces when available, height and weight and tendencies. I personally spent dozens of hours in this project, reading hundreds of scouting reports in plenty of draft centered blogs and portals (not just nbadraft and draftexpress), with a knack for high schoolers.

This work isn't focused in just creating the first 15 stars of each year and focus just on Wiggins, Randle etc. And it's the only 2016 draft class made. Malik Newman, Zimmerman, Diamond Stone, Stanley Johnson...they're all there! In my opinion such a hard and accurate work can't be lost and starting from scratch would really be stupid.

That said, my current job simply doesn't allow me to put the same amount of work if not in 4 months. This way I need your help to recover this work and copy it in 2k14. Yeah, I know it's a hard and really annoying job. But if someone of you has some free time and is willing to collaborate, the reward for everyone is HUGE: 2014, 2015 and 2016 super accurate draft classes in november!!!! Never had it such abundance before. Never.
Once the class have been copied there's an obvious post re-work to implement the new skills and revise potential but this is not much of a problem. Then, I will constantly keep them updated with the advance of the season and I'm sure that many other CF are coming. I already have my mouth watering!!!

In this link you find the final version of the 2k13 draft classes:

Now it's up to this community. I hope that someone could help with this project.

Ciao!

Actually, what is the fastest way to recover all the data from 2k13?
As I know (but I'm not sure) Reditor 2k13 MC reads draft classes files and can export them in excel files. Having all the skills/tendencies in a single tab would fasten for sure the job.
Anyone who can help with this?

I've no idea, i'm converting my fictional draft classes manually, and it's boring as f*** and takes such a long time. So if anyone knows, i'd like to know too :D

You said it well Pierre. Better to "waste" the additional required time with a superb fictional draft class year 7 or the 2017 draft class if someone finds the right trick ;)

Damn, it would have been much appreciated. Which version of reditor do you have? I can't believe that the top version can't open FDC files :(

Does someone still have the 2016 draft class to share it for 2k13 ? I been looking for it, the only link is this one, and is no longer working
Wilt, MJ, LeBron, Kareem may be the greatest, but Scalabrine is the GOAT.
