NBA 2K5 on NBA 2K14; RELEASED

Hello guys!

I decided to create a throwback patch for 2004-05 season. I used files from URB and UBR patches and on top of that, I myself have created a lot of files, including tattoos for the players, arenas, baskets, team files, crowds etc. using the original game files. I am giving the credit to all the guys who made this patch easier for me in creating previously mentioned URB and UBR mods. Especially 2K Retro Mod and everyone who helped converting some of the cyberfaces from previous 2K releases.

This patch contains:
- accurate NBA roster as of the opening night of the season, depending on the team, 12-15 players;
- portraits and cyberfaces with updated tattoos;
- updated staff personnel, I assigned coaches and assistant coaches to every NBA team, there are also no more fictional scouts and trainers;
- added new free agents, there are also some "notable" hidden players that you can activate in association, most of them played in Europe at the time;
- updated jerseys and team colors of every NBA team by checking the photos of that period;
- updated players' gears and shoes of every NBA player by checking the photos of that period, the shoes they are wearing are all dated up to the year 2004;
- updated players' attributes, tendencies and signature moves so there is no more e.g. Shaun Livingston jumpshot assigned to anybody else but him;
- adjusted rotations and added injuries to make it more realistic as the season starts, you can also decide if you want to start the association with 1 or all 30 teams (recommended, also an option to start with correct draft picks assigned for the upcoming draft) and control their rotations;
- completely finished draft classes for 2005, 2006 and 2007, more will be coming soon in the future.

The download link will contain more detailed readme file. The patch is not compatible with other patches available on the Internet.

I will be adding more draft classes in the future.

Predicted release, if everyone are okay with it, is August 1st.

yo gang for some reason when i download this mod it bugs out my game averages and stats. I put up 27 points and 5 dimes in 19 minutes but on the previous game stats on the home menu it says I had 3 minutes 2 points and 1 reb. You know how to fix this?

Hopefully I'm not too late to give you props: this is an amazing roster. The correct stats are a great touch (e.g. Kobe with a career-high of 56 points, since this is still the 04-05 season). It's cool to see retro stanchions too. Warmups, shoes, everything. I love the fact that despite not everything on this roster being a 1:1 representation of real life, it is all believable and self-consistent. For example, the fact that you put some old guys in the FA pool, like Rodman and MJ; I always do that myself too, because I think they having a come back for a final season at 41-43 years old wouldn't be too farfetched, and it's a videogame after all. Hopefully you can keep releasing new draft classes, I would enjoy playing some seasons with your roster.

Maybe you could remove the specific commentary for teams and players, since they mostly reflect what happened in the 12-13 season. This is possible via RED MC, I just don't remeber which fields control this, but it doesn't matter. Great job!

Thank you! That commentary is also something that bothers me so I play without it. But if you have any more details on how to fix it in RED MC or anyhow, I would be happy to do it. I am also currently working on mod for 2K8 rosters, so there will be drat classes updates in the future, I just don't have the timetable for it yet.

sorry guys, but the project is currently on hold. all the files are on my old laptop which I do not use at the moment, I am taking a break from patching 2K14
