STADIUM EDITING CROWD REMOVAL

I'm trying to get rid of crowd that sits by the bench in one of my arenas so I can stretch out the dorna structure. Jao was making a tutorial on how to do this using hex on steroids and sketch up but he never finished/simplified it. Any ideas anyone can throw my way on how to accomplish this besides using a different stadium which will kill the accuracy of my mod?
