What type of file should my pic be? I tried dds and png and no transparency.

You have to remove it with photoshop.

Simplisticly stated: Use the eraser tool all around Curry in the photograph.

I was able to get the background out of Curry but not the GSW logo. What am I doing wrong? It is transparent in photoshop.
