MC Mode as D'Angelo Russell

Postby greatjustice on Sun Jul 19, 2015 3:48 pm

Good day Sirs!

First and foremost, thank you for all the Modders and people who continue to support NBA 2k14, it certainly makes the game as enjoyable as ever.

I would like to ask for assistance. I tried to use Kevin's latest roster (7.6) and play My Career as D'Angelo Russell.

However, every time I try to use the Fantasy Star Trainer to modify my Player in MC Mode, it just changes the name of my player but still retains everything else.

I already deleted the online saves and cache folders prior to using the Fantasy Star trainer but have not found luck. I also followed the steps in one of the tutorials posted in this forum.

I'm a Laker fan and I really want to play as D'Angelo Russell in MC mode.

Can anyone help me in this regard?

Thank you very much!

Hi there, thank you for using Kevin's roster. Anyways, I know how that feels like, I've been through the same problem myself and just ended up using a custom created player instead. But don't fret, I have an alternate solution to that.
  • Copy everything about the player you want to use (ex. D.Russell's stats, CF, animations, EVERYTHING).
  • Assign the new copy player (D.Russell II) to the designated team.
  • On the players tab, change the player type of the original player (a.k.a the original D.Russell) from "Existing Player" (not sure) to "Legend" and he will disappear from the team. Don't forget to get rid of him from the team.
  • Voila! You've officially replaced the player you want! Although this means that you have to start from the bottom, but its better than nothing right?
I still don't know how to modify the minutes though.

Open the trainer first before opening the game

Thank you for the reply! Everytime I try to copy D'Angelo Russell, an unkown error seems to pop-up. Also how do I edit My Player using the trainer? What's the player ID? Thank you again

Well ok then, if "copying" the player doesn't work from the right-click options...I guess you're gonna have to manually change the attributes and appearance yourself. To find and modify your "MyPlayer" just type his name on the search panel on the Players Tab (this is assuming you haven't changed your MyPlayers' name to D.Russell).

I've actually tried that weeks ago, but it doesn't work. Nor changing the date to October does either.

Follow these steps:

1) Create a backup for your NBA 2K14 folder where Kevin's roster files are installed.
2) Reinstall NBA 2K14 so you get to have the original files of the game.
3) Delete the Online Data folder.
4) Open your newly installed NBA 2K14 (original files/the one without any mods)
5) Load up your My Career that you would like to mod as Russell. (100% sure that your player would be headless or glitched but it's okay).
6) Open the trainer then select Russell then change everything you want like your minutes etc.
7) Save it then close the game.
8) Open your modded NBA 2K14 (Kevin's mod) and enjoy playing My Career as D'Angelo Russell :)

I hope this helps bro. About 2 years ago I used to have this problem but I was lucky enough to find a solution for this.
Enjoy (Y) (Y) (Y)

Just go to this thread if you want him to be a starter or like modify his minutes viewtopic.php?f=153&t=93684
