NBA 2K14 Minimizing Problem

I went on and made a clean install for my 2k14 and it works fine. The only problem that I got is when I minimize the game (ALT+TAB), the game doesn't pause unlike the last time. It just kept on playing and when I alt-tab'ed back again, my team was now down by 8. If anybody knows how I can fix this, that would be great. I'm running on Windows 8.1, btw.
