Changing the color of a basketball

I want to know how to change the ball color. Probably right now a new thing for me to learn and improve in the near future? If it has to deal with hex editing, well alright. I just hope I know what the hex values are. If it also deals with just changing the ball color with PS, Gimp and Paint.net, then I guess I can do that to? But I really don't know what texture to hex or change the color of the ball. The color of the ball I'd like to change is JaoSming's 4x HD Resolution ball. Yes and last time I messaged him he told me to change the color, but I didn't know what he meant because there's probably a two way process you can do to change the color of the ball. And I'm pretty confuse and I just wanted to know, if anyone out there who would PLEASE help me out with this, how to change the ball color ? That's all I want to know and improve right now. I'm sorry for being a desperate piece of asdfghjkl, I'm really sorry. I just hope someone out there could help me.

in my signature I have a thread of dozens of video tutorials on how to mod. You need to open the nbaball.iff with either the 2kx mod tool or the 3DM mod tool (RED MC has a pay-for license so ignore that for now). You use the tool to export the textures, which you open in GIMP or Photoshop, recolor as you wish, then use the tools to reimport into the file again.
