Missing executable after downloading a shoe mod

Ok i downloaded the lebron cork shoes and galaxy foam mods from this site. i extracted the shoe files into downloads>steam>steamapps>common>nba2k14 like i thought i was supposed to do. it asked me if i wanted to replace another file and i clicked yes to all. now when i try to open the game it says "failed to start game - missing executable" ... what did i do wrong and can someone help me fix this please because as of now i cant even play 2k14.. this happened before with a cyber face but i knew what it was called and just deleted it from the nba2k14 folder and it worked again.. i have no idea what to do now though because the names of these files arent as recognisable

download the file again so you can see what the file names are? that would be my first step. weird that changing/adding art files would cause that error. glad I dont have steam version.

ok i just replaced the files back and it still wont work.. fuck steam honestly this is so annoying. where did you get your game? can i transfer my mycareer steam save over because if i cant im just not playing 2k14 again lol

I ordered my game on disc from somewhere cant remember now. newegg maybe? your saves should be in your user folder/appdata (hidden folder)/roaming/2k14. you should have no prob using those saves on a fresh install. to make sure uninstall doesnt delete them id copy and past them to a dif location before uninstall.

fixed the issue. i made a shortcut to the nba2k14 folder because it was getting annoying clicking through downloads>steam>steamapps>common>nba2k14. when i deleted that and put the files in the actual folder it worked. thanks for trying to help though
