Tutorial/Help to generate random rosters?

Postby cricnewbye on Thu Jul 10, 2014 3:42 am

Hi, I have always been interested about the possibility to play with completely random generated players like, for instance, the one generated in draft classes.
Can anyone point me in the right direction regarding where can I find a tutorial or general help doing so? Maybe using Rededitor? Or is there a Trainer around can allow to copy and the value of a generated draft class player and paste it in an editor to have it quickly in a roster file?
Thanks to anywayone who will be able to provide some help!!

Hi,
Personally I have never used it so I'm not certain it's what you're looking for, but the other day I stumbled upon this "NBA 2K14 Randomizer Roster 1.0" by BD1899. Hope it will help you..

the easiest way to do it IMO is to start an association with a 2K created roster, simulate out 20-30 years into the future, then grab players from the generated league with RED MC. You can CSV export the players, headshapes, and if you want Teams tab, but it requires some changes after the export if you want to customize it.

That would require paid licenses to open the association file, headshapes tab (for the face shapes), and teams tab, which is optional i think.
Opinions are my own.

Thanks a lot for your replies!!! I heard about the Randomizer .... and I thanked the author in his thread though I didn't try it yet. I didn't tried it cos I assume it to be a random roster, but not a roster that changes every time you load it in a random way. Anyway it could be a good starting point. Or maybe the easiest way, even if it can take lot of time, it's what Jao suggest i.e. simulate 20 seasons or so with association and start from there somehow or just accept the random generated players.
