ROSTER COPY & SHOES HELP

Thank you for reading this post. This is a 2 part question:
1. I came across the program Roster Copy 1.0a and followed instructions, however the new save file is always corrupted. Any assistance appreciated.
2. I came across Dj_yaz's Sneaker HEAT textures viewtopic.php?f=153&t=94775&start=50. Yet everytime I've downloaded it the game crashes to desktop. I've deleted the "Shoedata.dat" but of course upon reboot, no extra shoes show up. Any suggestions appreciated.
