Well lately I've been wondering why my team has a rather low overall ratings with two players in their 90s and three in their 80s(Rondo 90, Leonard 90, Embiid 89, Wiggins 88, Randle 82). I saw my headcoach Jason Kidd's attributes are all at D(kinda unrealistic Id say, hes not a good coach but nowhere near this bad), I changed them to C(potential changed to B) through Red_MC, and all of a sudden my team's overall rating went up from 86 to 91. I am still not 100% sure that changing the headcoach's ratings was the reason for this change, but it does seem to be as a good possibility.
I also noticed that in the UBR package 2006 rosters, the Spurs are No.1 and Lakers are No.2. The former makes sense since the Spurs were the defending champs, but the Lakers were nowhere near good in 2006(other than Kobe and Odom the others are all below 80). So I suspect that it must be the coaching staff, since in URB Phil Jackson probably gets a very high rating(all A's I assume). Also the Pistons are only ranked at 12 in 2006, while irl they went to finals a year ago and then posted a 64-18 records. All their starters are above 80, so I guess its the head coach Flip Saunders drags down the team's overall ratings?
So, do you think that the coaching staff(head coach and assistant coach) makes a impact on a team's overall ratings? If so, how big is this impact? And incase anyone knows how the overall ratings are calculated precisely, would you mind providing a clue on how the starters, bench players, coaching staff and other factors contribute to this value? I am just curious.
