About cheat engine value locking

Hi guys i was reading your forum and i found out about a thread telling how to get drafted for your favourite team.I used cheat engine and found the right adress.The only problem is that you all kept talking about locking the value during the rookie showcase.How do you you do this???I mean lock the value.
