Vanilla is better, but when i run a F1X4R exe (the guy who changed gameplay mod) it starts being jerky, and lags more.

I tried the stuff where another guy recommended changing the config file's contents, but the game still doesn't run smooth. Frame rate drops to 10-15 often.

I am on i5 6DDR ram 2gig NVIDIA 630m

Is there anything else I can try to make it run smoother? I've already done "run priority high" in task manager.

Opinions are my own.

First off, update your drivers!!

If it still lags, disable anti-aliasing and V-Sync in your video settings. Instead use the NVIDIA video card manager, set a profile to your NBA 2K14 executable and set up VSync and Anti-Aliasing there. NBA 2K14 built-in graphics options are notoriously bad for certain computers despite how powerful they may be.

Thanks golden. J, it does that with the official one too, just less choppy.

Edit your config. Type %appdata% into run or search box.

Hmm.. so I did as written, and game was at 60fps. Only now it drops from 60 to 15fps about every few seconds. If it wait, it goes to 60. then back to 15. Any ideas how to fix this?

Try adaptive V-SYnc. I have an AMD card so I'm not sure if NVidia has that option. Also make sure u check options "overwrite/ignore in-game options and use nvidia's", etc. Good luck bro, I gotta go to bed (Y)

Fixed the issue somewhat. turns out editing config file and putting threads = 4 was the culprit.

I don't know what to put for 2gb of vram though.

the fps remains steady around 20-40 which is still low without any AA, low crowd. imo

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XI7Rvl-saOI Follow Jao's tutorial to recover your original config file and don't mess around w/ the recovered config file
