Button delay online for anyone else?

I'm new to the NBA games and when I play online the game has button delay of around 1 second, I am wondering if this is a problem everyone suffers as I hear the 2K servers are not the best. I am from the UK so I am thinking that may be a problem as I am being matched up against americans, it is not my broadband that is the problem as I am able to play FIFA without any lag/delay.
