Loading Roster Update

Hello everyone,

I've downloaded the latest NBA 2K14 roster update for my Xbox 360.


I'm currently playing along with the season as the Bulls. How do I load the new roster so it reflects the team changes in my current game (namely, Derrick Rose's injury).

I can see how to load the roster I've downloaded (options>load/save>load>roster), but when I then load my saved season game through 'game mode', the roster update is no longer in effect.

I hope I don't have to load the new roster, then start a new season right back at the beginning.

Any help would be very much appreciated, thanks guys,

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you'll have to start over if you want to use the new roster.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I tried setting up a new 'the association' game after loading the roster, but the new game didn't appear to change the player details properly.

For example, Derrick Rose's player entry is in red, and his position says 'Res.', so the roster update definitely has him as injured and out now.

But when I setup the first game, Rose was in the team and on the court. I presumed the roster update would take him out so that we can play through the season as it is realistically.

I do appreciate your help - is there something really stupid I'm not doing here? Basically, I just want Rose to be out so it feels like the actual league.

It's not you, the game resets injury status when you start a new Association.

So does the injury information included in roster updates only affect online games or something? I mean, it seems like a gamer's offline season never has injured players if they have to start a new season to apply a latest roster download, but a new season always ignores injury information.


Is there any way I can manually place Rose into a status of recovering from injury just so my game is more realistic?

Correct, it's just for online play.

The easiest method is to control all 30 teams and manage the lineups for all of them, while only playing the games for the team that you actually want to control.
