Didn't expect the players actual voice. Looking forward to saying good bye to current gen.

gameplay, gameplay seems a bit meh actually. I mean smooth and beautiful, but the other video this guy has uploaded below shows a major AI Lapse and/or animation at the 40 second mark

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cae5Er8mrPE

so that still happens
Opinions are my own.

^ teh nitpicking has started  Thabeet is like 7'3 shoes on with a 7'6 wingspan, his elbow BETTER be at the rim every single layup.... and Rose supposedly added close to 10 pounds of muscle this season but I don't know, looks ok to me, then again it's cell phone footage

on a serious not though, yea like Jao said, gameplay looks still a bit clunky and probably feels beefy....... I mean if there was a way you could feel the differences between the players the way different guns feel in Battlefield 4, that would be something.....
and speed and quickness alone just don't cut it, I mean for you to literally feel a guy whos light on his feet springing out of that first step, and I would absolutely love to see a realistic representation of certain players navigating through traffic and not just getting stuck in a bump back animation....
for example like Chris Paul, and prime Steve Nash, they could literally dribble through the other 9 guys on almost every possession... to have that ability alone would make the game so much better

you consider character modelling nit picking? lol. He still looks too skinny even on the real voices trailer. Real nitpicking is that everyone seems to have the same stance when being interviewed.

It didn't help that the guy playing the game sucks. I'm annoyed on how he plays defense :? :?

I don't know if it's an AI lapse or just Hasheem Thabeet being Thabeet.

Stupid question..... but: mascots, cameramen, cheerleaders????
Noone else missing them????

Crowd are still not looking to the direction of the the action and the ball, eeeeh...
Unimportant details, but totally destroys the ambience.... and the stadium feeling :(

The less time until release, the worse it looks like...
(not trolling but disappointed.... after the omg trailer, more quality was expected)

How is that nitpicking? Did you see the layup? When have you seen anyone in a basketball game standing under the hoop have their elbow above the rim when doing a layup? The hand just goes above the rim to lay the ball in. Maybe if it was some running, from the free throw line, tomahawk dunk, then i could see it from a 7'-3'' player, but not close to the rim little bunny where his hand is at the top of the white backboard box.

yeah got something similar, when i throw back emotion and some new facts or mini issues show up...ehhh i dont know what to think about 2k14. Still the best game on our planet, but geeez first trailer and this incredible screenshots. In october i was close to buy ps4 for this game, two weeks ago i start thinking about buying next year, now i dont know. :?
I watched this again, only me noticed that body models react in the same way like in 2k13 or current 14? dribling, stoped dribling, pass, foot work is better but whole body moving very similar. What i want to point, i know dribbling is dribling, pass is pass but i though it will be look more smooth. Models are great, looks great but animations are very close to previous versions.

relax bro I'm just bustin you guys chops, no need to explain yourself, it's all good (Y)
that actually has bothered me for many years, there is no natural layup finishes to be seen in any basketball game, I mean the animation is there, but the moment the guy fingerolls the ball up to the rim, the ball always ends up taking an unnatural path through the cylinder, it's always coded to go UP and above the rim more than it does in real life

and yea the guy playing the game is just whack all around, so no that doesn't help.......

one thing that still really bugs me and should bug mostly all of us (and here's me nitpickin) is that ok we got different body types now, skinny lanky, buff guys.... but that's their bodies, if you look at their arms and legs you see the difference.... but the way they uniform them with the jerseys and shorts they just end up looking all almost identical sizes.... like some of the short guys there lookin as beefy as some of the big men you see there in the clip..... they definitely should have experimented with different jersey/short sizes in both their tightness and length, so you can see the difference between a 200 pounder compared to someone 250+

I'm honestly starting to get more excited for 2K15 for PC, I mean they will release the next gen version for us right ?? they have too right ?? Leftos..... LEFTOSSS :|

Looked like it was in slow motion. Players should have more explosion. Not really feeling anything from the video. Surprisingly after the awesome trailers.
2013 is the year?

For everyone nitpicking, keep in mind gents, this is the first gen of next gen. Meaning the game will evolve and get better as the devs grow more familiar with the tech. Same way it always was even when 360 and ps3 first came out. As time goes and the devs get player feedback along with learning the tech the game is going to evolve. Imagine a year or two from now how much better it can and most likely will be. So enjoy it for what it is and post all feedback once you've actually played the game to disect it.

I agree. I would even go so far as to say most likely the game is based off current gen mechanics but not much we can do but wait and see what developes over the coming years. It's not as though they will go back and revise the game at this late date. I do hope that as this next gen thing progresses so will the game's engine.

I'm surprised there are any non-graphical changes from current gen at all. I don't understand why you'd expect this massive step up within the same year?

I'm glad to see that 2K Sports has been adding more and more to the presentation of NBA 2K over the years: adding Kerr to the Harlan-Kellogg team, the halftime report, the NBA Draft voice-overs, postgame press conferences... they've been really good with that. Then they go and do this.

I thought the interviews in NFL 2K5 were awesome, even though the lipsync was awful, Suzy Kolber's face was in "fullbright mode" and the athletes were given generic voices that usually sounded nothing like themselves. It was still cool and a good effort for its time.

But this... this is a huge step up from that. Nicely done, 2K.

My only nitpick is that the camera should be closer to Rose and Burke. It would've been a good chance to show off the detail in their faces. If 2K wants to accurately imitate a nationwide NBA broadcast, both ESPN/ABC and TNT always make it a point to show a close up of the athlete when he's being interviewed.
