FPS after a fresh install

Postby Lakeshow2482 on Tue Oct 22, 2013 11:31 pm

Hey all

Just purchased a new SSD and done a fresh install of the game. After days of dramas with logging into my account to just get into the game, I finally learned through Steam forums that you can enter the game offline.

So now that I finally get to try out the new SSD much to my disappointment the game went from 57 fps to 52 and feels noticeably slower. I tried installing the latest display driver for my video card. Didn't make a difference. Pretty sure I have the latest direct x stuff. The only major difference is that I'm running windows 7 instead of 8.

Can anybody shed some light? Just really disappointing to spend all this money and go through days of crap not being able to get into the game and when I finally do, get a game that for some unknown reason runs worse????

Damn computers!!

I can't wait for next gen console gaming hahaha

Disable V-Sync. It might sound silly, but I had micro-stuttering and after I disabled V-Sync it became much smoother than before.

For some reason the game goes overboard in limiting the FPS to 60 with V-Sync on, so much so that it pushes back into the 50's, especially with wide camera angles.
